Castle Combe, our second track day of 2019 had us battling it out in all the track conditions! This inevitably lead to a lot of fun, some over the limit driving, and a few unhappy marshals...

I think the talent levels are pretty on par. But the Clio 197 has a great chassis specially for track so is a lot more planted.

That's not the reason. I used to work as a Marshall and we love seeing this stuff, but at the same time the job is to keep everyone safe. If you crash then it's more paperwork for us, and also we get questioned as to why we let a dangerous car stay on track (and can cause us to get in trouble). I used to work at a karting track too and we used to get people come down and throw these homemade frankenmachines about and then they got angry when we black flagged them for putting themselves and others in danger

While I love their videos because they are fun and clearly they are talented drivers, I do think it's normal they get black flag for their shenanigans. There are rules in a track and they are breaking them. That's the game they're playing and sometimes they lose.

@@Duron13 If you can't train controlling your car, there is no point in existence of tracks. And you can't learn that if you don't skid. Looks like track owners only whish to make money of bad drivers who only want to push some throttle on straights. If they don't allow actually pushing hard or learning how to control your car, these tracks are not worthy of visiting.

As I explained in other threads, we Marshal's do love to see this but at the end of the day our job is to keep everyone safe in the track. Having two guys doing this can lead to a lot of problems. If they crash it's a lot of paper work foe us and also we get in trouble for letting a dangerous car on circuit. Yes these guys are good but you see a lot of guys who do this stuff snd crash, and then other cars swerve to avoid and also crash etc etc. At the end of the day there are defined rules for the day to make sure everyone has a fun time and one of those rules is no drifting and the other is to drive within your limits or get pulled off

Love a 306 gti6 best budget hot hatch you can get had a mk2 ibiza years back took it round combe once didn't handle well needed a refresh o bushings ect, wish I had bought one of these instead.

Just wanna comment from the point of view of someone who used to work as a Marshall. What you guys are doing, we actually love to watch. We know it's great fun and wish we could be out there. But we also have a job to keep everyone safe, and make sure everyone has fun. While you two are capable to holding your slides we get a lot of people at tracks doing this stuff and cause accidents that require us to fill out lengthy paperwork, as Marshalls we get questioned as to why we let a dangerous car stay on track, and often the track will have to spend time and money fixing any damage to barriers etc. Its not Marshalls being power hungry (as I saw in other comments) it's just them enforcing the rules of the track day to make sure everyone has fun. If I was a Marshall here i would pull you off but just to tell you to calm down a little, and then would send you straight back out, because I don't wanna ruin your day
