Hey Buckin', after watching one of yer video's a while back about putting a handle on a axe head, I figured I could do that too. I found a Michigan pattern single bit for $5 on Craigslist locally. I put a new handle on it and the fever set in. Today I just bought 3 double bits (2 Sager 1 Plumb F/S all about 8 3/4 inches long) and 1 Michigan and 1 Kelly Jersey single bit. If I decide on a maul, it'll be a older one fer sure. It's fun and very addicting. Thanks for showing us how you do it. Oh, 1 Michigan has a curved handle and the other will get a straight handle. Don't know which one I'll like but I enjoy seeing my ideas come to life. Be safe and keep moving.

Awesome axe Buckin... should have redone mine, I bought two home when I retired and son in-laws ask for them so I gave both to them. Should have had you redo them first. They both seen a lot of action in their life. I carried both of them my whole career
