"If you want to understand the Art of War, first you must understand the Art of Peace." I heard this once, I was never the same. Thank you Shifu. Your training and conditioning is an inspiration to many, may we all find inner peace.

Thank you Shifu. I trained with you many years ago at Shaolin Temple but had to stop training due to injury and life commitments. Just like to express my gratitude for all the mental and physical training. It's good to connect again even in a small way with your videos

Why do the combinations in the opposite direction still stand in the same leg position left forward?
@limo-swine65374 жыл бұрын
Because he is teaching mainly how to fight and not muscular imbalances. If you change your stance every time then you won't get used to your "orthodox" stance. It is good to train "southpaw" also but it is always better to master one.
@tkinynanz4 жыл бұрын
@@limo-swine6537 If you do combinations in one direction, the other one must be identical only in the other direction.When performing side kicks with your right leg, your stance is your right leg forward, and if your left kick is still your right leg in front?By the way, the martial art is about fighting in any position, not just in only one side.

Some shaolin stances and muay Thai's are very similar especially since sanshou is meant for real fighting

Only egos fight. Only big egos show that they can fight.

Ego also tries to prove a point. Ego isn't as bad as society and the world makes it to be. Ego also is the animal instinct in nature that tries to pull you down. Ego only knows how to survive. Depending on your programming society has done to you it will determine how much your ego will keep you from being your true self. I don't fight from ego. I fight from spirit within. I don't fight to harm. I don't believe in fighting anyone but fighting within thy self to become the best you.

Wisdom words
@DocMustafa4 жыл бұрын
Your definition of the words “ego” and “fight” are skewed. Your first mistake was thinking he’s fighting. Fighting is a violent confrontation or struggle. This is definitely not that. This is what they call training. Secondly, has he shown any inklings of self-importance? I don’t see it. He’s beyond a measly state of mind called ego. If anything, you’re highlighting your own ignorance and ego in trying to define his actions with your imperfect mind. In your case, your ego shows when you reinforce your self-esteem and self-importance by attacking another person verbally in order to define his mind. Instead, you should try and define your own mind pal.

@@DocMustafa, come on man, hope you're not reflecting as well your own ego by directing those thoughts on a person you don't know and defending a person you don't know as you didn't know yourself first. Our bodies are not made to train for fighting, unless we are already mentally corrupted. Yes, training for fighting has the same if not even more intense violence. Please go deeper.
