For anyone to call this man a fake is a joke, he comes from the shaolin temple, not from Florida, what he teaches is a combination of traditional shaolin mixed with modern training methods, to come on the Internet and comment on how you are better and faster and tougher is just immature, the mentality of a novice

Thanks for the incredible, inspirational example, Shifu. And I asked for and received all three of your Shaolin workout DVDs for Christmas, and I'm trying to work through them now. They are no joke -- super difficult but so awesome -- and I'm so grateful that you've shared your knowledge with those of us who have no Shaolin teachers in our area. Keep up the great work!

Can quite clearly see he's not a master. I know this through the documentaries I've watched, namely 'shaolin vs wu-tang' and 'american ninja'. It's a common fact that ALL martial arts masters have long white beards and super long white eyebrows.

What they don't say that this guys use chi breathing. It is when you breath not with your chest but belly.Then all your lungs are filed with air. I think it is very important to mention. This breathing(also called Tao yin breathing) Is very useful. Good luck. :)

It's also called proper way of breathing every human being should stick to. It's actually the way children breathe until their bodies learn how to be lazy and not use diaphragm properly while breathing xD
@Sk0lzky6 жыл бұрын
Don't 'expand' your chest raising your whole upper body while breathing. There's this muscle called diaphragm, right below your lungs. When it 'goes down' your lungs inhale, when it gows up - exhale. Just relax your belly and allow it to expand a little bit, letting it expand downwards. If you need help you can put your hand on your belly right below your ribs and start slowly breathing in and out - if it's raising and your shoulders stay in the same spot - congratz, you mastered the hard art of proper breathing xD upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/9c/Diaphragmatic_breathing.gif

Dang dude, that's amazing. It's very strange because (this might sound stupid lol) but today I woke up and I was sleeping on my arm weird and when I woke up all the blood was cut off from my arm and I could'nt move it at all for like 30 seconds. It scared me and martial arts is my life. So I was thinking about how different martial arts would be with one arm and how my life would change. That's crazy man, don't give up!That's true martial arts. And yes Shifu = sifu =)

Yeah, I know. There's a brazilian woman named Paula Amidani. She's gorgeous and very talented. I'm entering the second semester at Eagle Claw Kung Fu school. I'm loving it. It's hard because I had cancer in my shoulder ten years ago, and i've lost my left arm movements, I can only move my hand. So it's a challenge, but a challenge that I enjoy. One day, I'll get there! BTW, do you speak cantonese or mandarin? Shifu = Sifu? I want to know that...

very impressive, i respect you dedication to your art to the atmost, i practice kyokushin karate, the form you did at 04:05 was very similar to the kata (form) that i do, its called the ju ji kata, spefically there is kata sono ju ji and kata sono ju ji ura wich is the same kata but another direction, it goes in the same pattern of your form but the stance is different, zengstu dachi then apply gedan bari making sure before you move to spot your opponent then block. im looking forward to seeing more vids of these workouts. Japanese when they were copying or stealing in the bushes, they didn't pay attention to the details, they forgot some details when they got back home, it was too fast they didn't pick up all the moves OR the master knew they were hiding in the bushes so intentionally did the moves incorrectly to fuck with the japanese. Maybe the japanese actually became students of the chinese master...but they probably didn't stay long enough to get all their mistakes in their "form" corrected by the Master. it takes time to get your form good. you won't get it good the first time you learn it. EXAMPLE: One textbook says left direction. Another textbook says right direction. One textbook was written by the Harvard professor who invented ABC. The other textbook was written by University of Phoenix associate professor who just started researching about ABC....and he got the direction wrong when he was copying the chapters from the Harvard professor's textbook. This explains the "different" direction. that pretty much explains why the kata is different than shaolin. Karate originated from China, i don't need to say this again on KZbin, i hope people know this by now. All Japanese "kata" originated from China. There must be an origin. Something can't come from nothing. Even Samurai swords originated from China.
@vtheorem22117 жыл бұрын
heeheemanofHK I know you dedicated a lot of work into these paragraphs, but you should know that karate came from Japan, while Kung Fu came from China.

@corvette174 he's short and stocky and doesn't have abs popping out of his skin hence he's no gym-buff. If you watch his DVDs he says he doesn't do weights and you shouldn't because -- as you also correctly pointed out -- it slows you down. And the way he does those jump press-ups, he's got no problem with his explosiveness to weight ratio, that's for sure. His flexibility is also top drawer. You're entitled to your opinion but this guy is a Shaolin Monk and I suggest you're merely uninformed.

i suppose you mean muscle, anyway, i thought his kicks would be "slow" but those are indeep powerfull, i doubt anyone out without those muscle would kick as good as him, it is not like muscles are everything, but if i were too close of this guy i wouldn't be able to avoid one of his kicks, and also, block the kick with the arm or even the leg would make some serious injury,
