The shared hearts can be used as an advantage during PVP later on if you're not both fighting. One person can hide and just keep eating to regen hearts while the other person fights. No need to stop swinging a sword to eat. Just throwing that out there.

Your hunger is not linked so the person down in hiding will have to constantly sprint jump around to lose hunger since golden apples and potions are banned but could work. Though is it worth over doubling the amount of damage you can deal by both fighting the same target?

I know a new series has just begun, but if there was a forth season then it’s twist should be: When someone dies, their life is available to be found and stolen by anyone if they find it hidden around the map. But it can only be found for 5 minutes and then despawns

I like this idea but also consider: They don't have to be dead. So like a block is like a soul and if that block is deleted (so it can be placed and picked up again could be interesting). So each hermit gotta hide their souls somewhere and stop from being stolen
