The double powerslide head gotta be the most beautiful, graceful way to stop in my books. Remember another older video you had Miss Asha with a gentleman that did a very smooth double slide. You make them look so easy. Goals.

Yes it's the main reason to work until you have a Powerslide on each leg, because the combo is so worth it!!!

That's such a great sign that you're already passionate about skating, even before you've got wheels on your feet. It might feel a lot harder than it looks when you get on your new skates (I'm not sure of your current or past experience with skating). But if that's the case, PLEASE do watch my FREE beginner Starter pack of 2 videos that explains ALL the necessary basics so you don't fall as you get started. Click FREE TRIAL on this page. You can even do the first video in your shoes at home.... skatefresh.com/product/how-to-skate-beginner-level-full-course/

Inspires me to try this, a quirk is I can do the powerslide both ways relatively comfortably, but the right sliding leg I only do comfortable from regular stance with a swoop around and with the left sliding leg I only do it comfortale from fakie stance with a step-out. Kinda weird but I think I can start trying this double slide!
@SkatefreshVideosАй бұрын
If you can slide both legs already then there's no reason why you can't start trying the Double. Do your favourite side first from the forwards entry and then step or jump change to your weaker sliding leg. This is such a great move as no-one is expecting you to do a second slide.

But they are learning how to stop... righttt?! Sorry 😬
@SkatefreshVideos4 ай бұрын
I think every skater alive should be working on and improving their stopping methods, because that's the ONE area that's going to make the most difference in a crunch moment. The more functional, fluent options you have the better.

Great place to practice skating. So few people for such a big city.

Yes I was stunned how quiet that space was co widening its in Manhattan with a zillion skaters around. It’s the absolute ideal venue (except no roof for shade or rain cover but we’ll take it). Can’t wait to skate there again one day.

@@SkatefreshVideos Good find. Having skated in the Rio midday sun I don't think the lack of shade will faze you. Might be a different story for your pupils though!

Asha, alguna razón en especial por la que ya no usas patines de 3 ruedas?
@SkatefreshVideos4 ай бұрын

I unfortunately can't make any changes with the audio. I think in real life coaching (as apposed to a tutorial style KZbin video) I talk too fast and that's the main issue. Doesn't come off well on camera.

That's sweet of you but I've been working outdoors for 24 years (sun, wind, heat, cold) and despite wearing factor 50+ protection for all that time (with frequent replying every 1.5-2hrs) my skin has taken the brunt of it. I also have never owned a car and use a bike (or skates) instead, so all those hours most people are in their cars I'm on a bike (in all weathers) and again, my face takes the hit. It's the downside of my job. I;d have perfect skin if I sat in an office all day probably.
