What is CodeNames?
Let me be the first to say that I think this game is better live so chat can also guess and lose their mind. But I still wanted to post it. Youll like it!
Two teams compete by each having a "spymaster" give one-word clues that can point to multiple words on the board. The other players on the team attempt to guess their team's words while avoiding the words of the other team. In a variant with 2-3 players, one spymaster gives clues to the other player or players.
So the Spy Master of each time will say a word and a number. The word given is the connecting word that relates to OTHER words on the board. The Number given is how many OTHER words on the board it relates to.
First team to guess all of the words without hitting a bomb wins. If you guess an opponent words or a free spot your turn ends and the other team goes
You'll pick it up fast!

Crows can 100% mimic. I was at my parents place and there were a couple of crows in their tree meowing at the neighbour's cat. As far as I can tell, they were doing it just to piss off the cat.

Are you sure they were crows and not ravens? Ravens specifically can change the tone of their voice to mimick while crows cannot. And ravens are only SLIGHTLY larger than crows and with more of a crook in their beak and a slightly more fan shaped tail, they are difficult to tell the difference from afar unless you see both of them often enough to tell.

@@cyndilouwho I've never seen a Raven in my area and I've seen a lot of crows really close up. A few summers ago I bought some nuts from a pet food store to feed the squirrels at the park. Some of the squirrels will run up to you if they think you have nuts. Others will run away if you just look at them. However, the crows would sometimes grab the nuts before the squirrels and soon they would follow me around as soon as I got to the park. It didn't take long before they learned where I live, now I can't leave my apartment without carrying a container of nuts, or the crows will follow me around.

@@cyndilouwho I don't know who is teaching you the difference between crows and ravens, but there are several species of each and no real distinction between them. All Corvids (The official name of the group that all crows, ravens, and rooks are a part of) are capable of mimicry.

@@blindbeholder9713 ah gotcha. I believe the mimick knowledge is based on a friend of mine who bred crows and ravens and said his ravens talked and crows didn't. But I've learned not to argue with facts I'm not 100% about, especially when Google agrees with you and I should have used that first. Thanks!

I work at a wildlife refuge with 2 disabled crows. They know "hello" "ow" and have distinct laughs. The older one has a few other phrases too but you get the point

Cube 1 was the best play you could have done with that board with Jeremy for sure near the end. (they may have clicked Bar and not Pillow since Courtilly clicked Bar when it was first mentioned) Not to mention it threw a wrench in Platy and Speedy's next clue as well, making your final play a slam dunk win (although it was VERY close with Perish and X-"Ray" too, was very impressed with that round on stream! (especially when Speedy and Platy came into your shadow realm to gloat at how hard your side of the board was at first with Ice and Snow hahaha)

16:33: proof that chilled is a good human. i knew when the clue was “goblet of fire” and chilled silenced his question/said nvm that the blue one was “dance” because there’s a yule ball (dance) that’s a very prominent scene in that movie. it takes up several scenes, actually. it’s a whole thing (harry being slow to ask cho to the dance, asking luna, going, having a bad time, etc.). so it’s very sweet of him to be trying to throw them a bone.

yeah but chilled knew dance was the blue clue because of the yule ball scenes (many scenes leading up to it) and nearly gave it to them. he even silenced himself (said “nevermind” instead of asking the question) because he knew it’d give it away.

48:30 Ya know I've been thinking about this whole "perish doesn't make sense for injury" argument and I just gotta say, counterpoint: You can die or *_perish_* from your injuries if they're severe enough. Like that's a common phrase. "They died minutes later from their wounds", "They succumbed to their injuries", "Their injuries were too severe and they passed away." Honestly if I were given the choice between "Ray" and "Perish" with that clue I'd be more likely to pick perish, because you don't usually get an x-ray for most injuries.

Xmen may not be a SOLID story, nor does the whole franchise keep it all in one, Canon timeline very well...but they try to make it all work. But then you've got xmen 3 &wolverine origins, which completely change characters' timelines, then days of future past tries correcting things...then dark Phoenix throws it all away again, then Logan just ends everything. Now professor x is in MCU, well, for 5 mins lmfao. Good thing there are multiverses now to explain the unexplainable.
