it doesnt look faster or more powerful than a normal uppercut just leaves the face even more open but i could be wrong about the power

You cant " shovel " up into it, its just a little tricep extension . Don't worry about the hands punching is about the body weight / focus BEHIND the hands. This reminds me of the " double neck chop"

You're not wrong. It's a ridiculous "strike". No power, no practical use

This is an absolutely ridiculous "technique" that would have no actual practical use. It's thrown at an awkward angle so there's no power built, it's less than an arm punch. It's bulky so it leaves you open to counter striking. Sad to see it used as something that can be used as an actual strike.

Exactly there are no significant muscles being engaged , it really shows,a misunderstanding of how striking works
