Air radar increases your situational awareness to jets and choppers so much. It allows you to focus on ground targets while still being aware of airborne threats.

Similar when you and Matimio were helping the jet. I was in a dogfight, unfortunately he was whooping me, all i heard was a voice off of the TV speakers saying " Bring him to our base" 1 minute later he got him off my tail. This is why Battlefield is fucking amazing. Teamwork, communication = bf3

You'd be surprised on how much work you can get done on ground, you can cap flags, and take out light or sometimes heavy ground armour.

guided rockets dont affect heatseekers, they affect the ungided rockets by giving them a seeker that tracks armoured targets but are only really noticeable at longer ranges

Hey LevelCap, I just wanted you to know that the chopper gunners tv-missile is a good 15-20 degrees angled downward from your center crosshair (on the Russian Attack Helicopter I believe its more like 35-40 degrees downward.) You can help your gunner out with close range tv-missiles by actually aiming up and giving him a more direct shot that you can get use to aiming for him. vote this up so he can see.

Well, if you looked on the bottom right of the screen, next to the health percentage, you'd see who else is in the Helicopter. And he also has the person in the description who he's playing with.

For me the MAV episode was the best of double vision. Matimi0's and your tank- and heliskills are good but teaming in these vehicles is pretty common. Showing players how to give good team support with the MAV can accomplish more i think. Inspired by the MAV episode i did the support sniper myself for 3 buddies and we all had a blast.

I use Laser Painter because usually my friends and I can jump in a heli together and they are usually using guided missile so any heli that comes across us will be taken down relatively easily.

Hey level, the box at the bottom of the HUD in the helicopter shows where your gunner is looking, it's a really helpful tool especially when you're working together like in this vid.

I think you got something wrong: Guided Rockets just replace your normal rocket pods with rockets which tilt towards enemy ground vehicles, if they are aimed nearby. They don't change your heatseekers or the gunners Guided Rocket.

hey lvl... when a jet comes at you... the fastest direction you can move is down.... i like to go down, to the side... and forward.... if the jet wants to follow he has to react pretty quick and if you angle up while you do it you're gunner can nail him as he passes... this is EXTREMELY successful for me and my friends when i fly.

Lvl, you and matimio should try the laser painter and guided missle combo in the ATT. choppers, its really useful for when both choppers have fired their heatseakers and ecm.

That's generally what I roll with too. Only time I bother with anything other than Air Radar is in Rush when the most you have to worry about is 1 enemy jet. Kinda sucks though to be perfectly honest as the other passives are pretty nice, just Air Radar is essential to staying alive in the air.

It's impossible to know all the time though, even with Air Radar they can sometimes sneak up on you if you're not paying attention. Rule #1 of Aerial Combat is to see the enemy first (and I'm not making that up that really is the rule). I just find it odd that certain perks (Air Radar is 1 of them I believe) are listed as "Permanent Upgrades" when you unlock them.

I run almost the same setup you do. I am usually never gunner but when I am I use autoloader, flares, and guided missile. Im on xbox so TV missile is pretty hard to control even in the best case scenario. as gunner its laser painter(if I know the gunner), ecm, and heat seakers. And I agree, random servers I try to use guided rocket but I always forget to switch it up. lol

My set up with my friend, pilot: laser, ecm, aa rockets. Gunner: maintenance, flares, guided missle. If the chopper flares after i shoot my aa, the guided missle will insta kill it.

I love watching Matimio with his tv missile shots here is doublevision and gettothechoppa. I play on xbox360 and using the tv missile is very cumbersome. Any other 360 players have this issue or do i just suck? although i dont usually use my mic so getting set up for a TV shot is pretty much random.

yes, but next episode probably won't be, because this series is just about 2 PoV's doing different tactical things, whereas GTTC was a long-running series of helicopter domination, and it is no longer running because of the people forementioned. Basically we're just sad that the series ended, and we have to hope for single episodes like this to pop up every now and then. Make sense?

ecm work well if u know how u can use the bug for yourself. step 1 use ecm before his is possible to shoot sametimes sever/player lag like hell so don´t wait if u hear the sound and use it. Ecm as last shield. If you hear teh rocket came try to get the possion of the lunch. fly to the groundlevel and use ecm. ecm will erase you short time from Radar use it. Know bugs it´s able to look you during using the ecm... if you use ecm to early and the rocket is lunched to far away ecm end an rocket hit.

If you are experinced enough there is no need for air-radar, I use the guided misles all the time, maybe its just me becasue a lot of the time im flying with some friends so Im always aware of enemy aircraft

Use ECM Jammer if your working with a gunner who is using IR flares.. ECM Jammer just blocks the lock,, but sometimes they can get through the ECM cause you have already used it and it hasnt refilled yet,, meaning if they shoot your screwed.. use your gunner to get them:d and just tell him you deploy them:DC

A lot of things, especially jets and tv missiles, are much harder to steer with joysticks than they are with mouse and keyboard. I switched over to pc recently and have actually been able to do well piloting jets, whereas on xbox, i would typically die in a heartbeat.
