One of the unlocks you can eventually get for the tank opens a third slot where a third person can get in and use a laser designator. In order to use it both the driver, and the third person need to have it unlocked. It's called the CITV station.

that jet was the exact reason why i always used guided missiles and not rockets. because watching that guided missile do the same (if not more) damage at once was so much more satisfying.

His secondary weapon on the tant is Canister Shell. It sounds like the normal primary shell but its basically a shotgun for the tank.

The final unlock for the tank is the citv. Basically its a soflam on a tank. The third seat is that soflam.

notice how it says "hold R to pickup" when support guy puts c4 on your tank, giving you a second to bail.... not always the right thing to do but has saved my life on a few occasions

i wasn't talking about the last c4 that killed him...there's places throughout the video where there's guys on the minimap and level is shooting at something far away, he has proximity scan so all the baddies around him light up but he doesn't take full advantage of it sometimes...still a great gameplay, just something i noticed

that's not a bug, but you can use the canister shell as secondary weapon instead of the machine gun. it's basically a big ass shotgun on top of a tank which sounds pretty similar to the primary tank cannon when fired.

Looks like smoke, reactive, and canister, but he might also have proximity (or that was matimio). Just so happens that I run with that exact setup.

I guess what you mean is when he switches to Canister shells, those sound like firing a normal shell. You can't fire two normal shots right after each other. Canister Shells are far better than the LMG or HMG secondary for tanks.

As tank driver it's worth it to have your minimap open on Large, as you'll often engage targets outside of what you can see on the minimap. That's how I do it anyway.

Again if you have a dedicated gunner, why not use CITV+guided shell? You can lock on to air, get an extra round on tanks and if you get swarmed gunner switches to MG and driver backs out.

Just a minor suggestion, but when switching perspectives, you could add in a little effect like a blip of static. It sometimes feels a little confusing and disorientating when you switch without any indication.

canister is only affective against jeeps, jets and helis. it doesn't do damage to main tanks, AA tanks and IFV.

thanks.... if you do see "hold R to pickup" when in a vehilcle you are in big trouble. Bailing out isnt always the best thing to do because if the support player is sharp and sees you bail he will jump in your tank. Its a gamble jumping out but more often than not the right thing to do

I wouldn't say it was developed mainly for PC players. BF2 was that's for sure, but allot of the features in BF3 are console ported. Take the UI for instance. The menu system was definitely developed with consoles in mind.

depending on the map you should never bail for that reason, say on bazaar they end up with both the lav and bmp and if its 2 skilled players its gonna be near impossible to win. i always go down with the ship its not worth possibly loosing vehicles to the other team and getting out numbered

The reason why land mines suck is because anyone who spams the spot command in a vehicle will spot them like 100 yards before they get to them.

I like double vision but you should put both player's views on the screen at the same time. That way, when he is running a MAV and your on the ground we can see your tactics while moving through the level from an arial view.

tank+engineer is basically like playing solitaire most of the time... it doesnt really matter what people on the ground do cuz the tank driver just has wayyy too much advantage even over c4s or engineers
