Yes dude the same shit is happing with me. I went for retina test that was normal. I went for cornea test that was astigmatic and myopic. I see everything clear but i see to two light sources and texted on tv. Mobile etc

Hello Sir. I've been getting double vision for the past year ever since online classes started. And it only has been getting worse if anything, to the point that even 15 mins of close up study makes it act up crazy. It became worst during exams to the point where my head and eyes hurt and strained and I unknowingly dozed off for around 40 mins or so and only then it was bearable. I've been following your practices but is it enough for making it a little bearable?

When watching tv in very dark scenes some letters of the subtitles seem like they have a glow behind them with the same shape as the letters something like faint double vision. This happens with my left eye which has .025 astigmatism. I have also been experiencing some irritation from allergy because of the season... I don’t experience double vision when looking at anything else . Is this symptom justified by the 0.25 astigmatism or the allergy????

recently i got a new prescription glasses with some adjustment on the right eye(old -500-100x165 new -500-125x180) the left eye stay the same, after wearing the new glasses for a week i still feel some minor headache and i found it hard to focus when i see things far away but near is OK. Just my right eye troubling me, do you think i need to change it back to the old -100x165? coz this doesn't happen when i wear back my old glasses.

+Castiel Leem Headache should give you a clue. ;) Sometimes it seems they just sell you new glasses to make money. If you can see 20/20 on an eye chart with the old glasses, and no headaches ... why change?

I am a 67 year old male who has irregular astigmatism in both eyes. Last November I had cataract lens replacement surgery with toric lenses that were to correct my astigmatism. My ghost/double vision continued post surgery. The best description of this condition I have heard is, it's like seeing a 3D movie without the 3D glasses. My optomitrist recommended Scleral gas permiable hard contact lenses. These are large and vault over the cornea to allow light to pass through them and be directed in the proper way into the retina. These lenses are difficult to get use to inserting. You must overfill them with non-preservative saline and face straight down to insert them so that there are no air bubbles and the saline creates a cushion between the lens and the cornea. If you are not familiar, the Scleral is the white portion of the eye and these lenses rest on it hence their name. After a few weeks, I am now getting very comfortable inserting and wearing them. You cannot sleep, shower or swim in them so you must remove at night and insert again in the morning. The correction is amazing and they are comfortable to wear. I hardly know they are in and as they have totally corrected my vision I am very happy with them. Sometimes in low light or towards the end of the day I find I slip on my over to counter readers for up close/small print reading but most times get by without them. I hope this comment helps someone struggling with my same issue. I now see with these lenses the way I had hoped to see following my cataract surgery.

Use test lens kit, figure out the exact cylinder needed to correct ghosting. Then if needed use some cylinder, reduce over time. Practice fusing high contrast images to help visual cortex sort out the misalignment (it's part of it's 'features').

+Nora Vahine Not easy to say without more exploration. Unless there is a physical abnormality causing the astigmatism you can apply the myopia control principles to reduce cylinder dependence as well.

Look at a rectangle with very sharp lines. Do the horizontal lines seem sharper than vertical lines or vice versa or do they all look the same? If they look completely the same and you don't notice any difference in sharpness of those perpendicular lines from any distance even if you rotate your head to make rectangle look rhombic, then you, most probably, don't have astigmatism. Thanks to Jake, I now only wear glasses for astigmatism. No power for distance. I now see perfectly up close. The trouble is, I have no idea how to get rid of the astigmatism. I've talked to a couple optometrists, and they say there is no "less" power in astigmatism glasses, so I can't "reduce" the power to wean myself off the last visual crutch. Oh well, I'm 90% of the time, totally off glasses. I started around 20/70!

Prescriptions for astigmatism? hahaha I hope you are talking about the prescription from a doctor to give to the glass maker because there is no pill or anything else to fix that... Astigmatism is because the eyeball is not a perfect round ball so the eyes make a distorted vision since the natural lens in your eye refracts the light differently. There is only glasses, lenses which is not recommended or laser treatment to fix astigmatism. And believe me I have my whole life astigmatism just like all astigmatism people out there and I have walked a few years without glasses too and trust me you do NOT wanna do that. Go get some glasses and a whole new world will appear infront of you.

Bro i’ve been going through the same conditions 🥲.. it gets worse when see anything in dim light but my eyes get back to normal when i go outside in a natural light (sunlight)…😢when i use my phone constantly like directly one hour so this is get worse.. i don’t found the solution yet .. i had went to the doctor but he said there is no problem.. i had bunch of test but test didn’t find any problem.. one more thing when i get rest.. when i go for asleep at night after that I don’t feel that i have astigmatism or ghosting vision like that … it’s so much irritating in dim light and after using such as phone, tv etc … 3:52
