I was on the fence about this guitar until I found this. Too many reviews just playing a few chords or a little repetitive riff. Your playing's sold me. Also: DAMN, you can play and sing. Guess I now have a third version of this classic to appreciate. It's like Dylan's original and Hendrix's cover had a kid 🤯🤘

I know this is an older video, but I’ve been wanting to get a smaller (parlor size or 3/4 size) cutaway acoustic to muddle around with when sitting on the couch, without having to take out my big dreadnought (a Yamaha A1M). Your demo, and amazing playing convinced me to order (a black) one. Thanks
@greg65095 ай бұрын
How do you like it acoustically? Much easier to play than a standard acoustic with the short scale?
@robleblanc19655 ай бұрын
I didn’t keep it. It was so weak sounding (as expected) acoustically. It’s really made for plugging in. Yes, easier to play, short scale, like my Les Paul, but the fingerboard and string spacing was too narrow for my large hands. I think a concert size would work better for a couch guitar, but still knowing that it wouldn’t have the bass and volume of my dreadnought. I have not purchased one though.

First off, job well done on the music. Second, I see you changed the tuners. That's mandatory. Those crappy imitation Tone-Pros had to go so I put on a set of Grovers. I also replaced the nut, the saddle and bridge pins with Tusq. It made a noticeable improvement. I love mine.
@BrentHutchinson4 жыл бұрын
Totally agree it's a great guitar just had to loose the tuners. I may change the nut and bridge too cheers!
@Hhuhh-b6y4 жыл бұрын
what kind of tuners did u upgrade to?
@jaytc32184 жыл бұрын
@@Hhuhh-b6y I used Grover Sta-Tite tuners. They are affordable, they turn smoothly, and most importantly, they stay in tune.

@easter c You're welcome :-)
@jaytc32184 жыл бұрын
I forgot to mention that you'll need to switch out the bushings that come on the guitar because the Grover posts won't fit inside the Yamaha bushings. You'll need to get a set of Kluson MB65N bushings. I did this myself but if I had to do it again, I would have a luthier do it. Hope that helps!
