Hi Doug - great tool. A couple ideas for your consideration 1-User defined count down colors. A user may want to use "green" until a certain point, then go directly to orange and then to red. 2- Count down to time of day. If my livestream starts at 6:00 pm and it's 5:21pm it would be great for the page to do the calculation. Great work!

It does the countdown to time of day already. That's what the date entry box on the toolbar is for.

Great product, any way you could add a button on the menu to display 4 clocks side by side showing pacific,mountain,central, and eastern with labels underneath?

I could do something as a different page, but the layout of the existing page isn't suitable for that.

Can you expound a bit? It may not make sense for the time of day... are you thinking just for count up/down?
@bouncedjКүн бұрын
this is good, but one feature would be to start a count up or count down. Often times in studio related shows we're counting up/down based upon the time of a package etc. not sure if a click or keyboard shortcut press could start/stop/reset the count-up count-down clock.

Just added! Start the count up timer with the 's' key, and use space or P to pause/unpause.

really cool, definitely gonna use this in the future. one question though, could it be possible to sync the clock off the local machine instead of your server? that way I can download the whole page and run it offline if there is a case where I do not have internet access
@djp_video3 сағат бұрын
@@p1ngerss The countdown portion would work offline, the clock would not without making some code significant changes. It was written from the ground up to rely on an external time source
@mitchellcrazyeyeКүн бұрын
Not that it matters since you can reset, but when setting a timer on the far right, when you set it for a timer and then set it to blank (under the minutes for the timer) and click view, it just acts like a timer with 0 seconds and starts counting up. Figured you should know.

This is absolutely amazing! Thank you for creating this and making it available for free. It's always been such a hurdle to try to display countdown timers for live productions. The only suggestion I have is to make the countdown timer customizable so that we can change the settings of the color changes that take place at the end. I would use this to key out the background color and only display the digits itself overlaid on top of an image for the production. I can see the color changes messing with that. Additionally, is there a reason why the option to change fonts can't be in the toolbar as well? But again, thank you so much!!!
@djp_video2 күн бұрын
I'll add some options to customize the colors. The main reason that I don't list fonts is that these days Javascript isn't allowed to enumerate which fonts are available on a computer/device. So I essentially can't. It used to be something that was supported, but was removed from all current browsers due to the list of available fonts being used (abused) to help uniquely identify users for tracking purposes, as the specific list of installed fonts installed does tend to be pretty unique from one computer to the next. It's not really an issue in desktop apps, but in the browser it's considered personally identifyable information and is now locked down.

This is great! Is there a way to specify an exact countdown time, or just the :30 second increments from the drop down menu? I need to countdown for segment wraps to varying times, all unique and rarely to :30 or :60 second increments. For now I'm using old school hardware and pointing a webcam at the clock for remote users, but being able to screen share this would be great.

There is now! I just added it. Press the 'd' key (for countDown) to enter a specific time in [hh:][mm:]ss

I think one of the killer features that could add to this would be both the RTC, but also have the countdown feature on as well. This would be useful for small productions where secondary timing (ex. segments, etc.) are important. Crazy next step idea: make it completely self-contained into a pi-like device that plugs into ethernet/wifi for network and hdmi for display. This would allow for the clock, without wasting a display from a computer. I suppose thre are other ways to do this, but to have one of those dead-simple devices that you just plugin and you're ready to go seems like it would be a piece that became part of every remote-switched production. I suppose at that point, BMD would actually build it in, but until then...
@djp_videoКүн бұрын
You could run it on a Raspberry Pi as long as you have a browser installed.

This begs the question, why in the world the ATEM does not have any ability to display a clock? Not that it would replace this gem, but I don't know a control room, studio, even eng remote setup that would not benefit from a clock being displayed in the multi-view.
@Jason-mk3nn2 күн бұрын
I should have specified a real time clock, without it replacing a whole section of the multi-view.

Could you elaborate on that? There's no mention of that feature in the manual. Nor have I heard anyone talk about it. The Constellation models can output a clock (low accuracy) or count down/up timer on Output 1, but that's the only implementation I've seen of that feature.
