Yeah I mean people who are shocked that Faker is going to mainly play Azir when Azir is a top pick in the current meta is beyond me. Ruler would 1 trick Zeri if Zeri became meta again. Top pros will play whatever they need to win and if it just so happens one of their best champions is meta why wouldn't they play it? League players are weird. You see the same thing in Solo Queue. Someone will have a good winrate, like 60+%, on a champ and they'll just avoid playing it for some reason and just spam random 1 game of Thresh, 1 game of sona, 1 game of seraphine, 1 game of lux, etc. If you can play a champ well and it just so happens to be strong in the current meta you are crazy to not play it assuming your goal is to climb.
