the real reason duolingo didn't accept nene's voice is because she didn't have the correct mic set up on her browser lmao (you can tell because there's supposed to be voice waves showing up when it starts recording) i'm glad it happened though, we wouldn't have gotten smug angry nene without it
@zeriel91483 жыл бұрын
I mean her pronounciation would be decent if she didn't elongate some of the words, which comes across more as a "being cute" thing than a not being able to pronounciate it thing, same thing would happen with an english speaker if they did that I think, not sure how restrictive Duolingo's recognition is though.

@Sebastian Hahn It honestly reeks of mturk work. Even Google did it for their "hey google" functionality. Pay a bunch of unemployed proles a few cents to speak a line robotically. They don't care and you don't care, so they put as much energy into it as you gave them, which is to say, a few cents worth. I will say there are some odd ones out though--like that one duolingo guy who sounds like an english anime dub.

it is possible that duolingo is a simp and just want to hear nene's voice
@boopsnoot31423 жыл бұрын
Imagine if after 5 tries at recording on Duolingo she pauses and tries again, but it's a fully articulate perfect english pronunciation, and then she immediately goes back to being Nene and never brings it up ever again.
@SolitaryLark3 жыл бұрын
Lmao that would be pretty amusing.

That would be extremely impressive if anyone could pull that off, just stopping for a second to collect themselves and then instantly spouting the sentence in a clear and articulate manner.
