@@Mr.Starpop I have seen it. I'm not a Star Wars lore nerd so a lot of the canon breaking probably goes over my head. But I do know yellow lightsabers are not supposed to be as common as they are in the show. I also know Anakin's conception through the force is supposed to be unique, not a common thing achievable by random force users. When it comes to the acting, I think she does an okay job portraying Osha but when she plays Mae, it becomes very clear she is limited in her range. All she does to be "evil" is basically walk more feminine and put on a passive-aggressive attitude. The clothing also looks very cheap. Like Halloween costumes for someone trying to dress up as a jedi, rather than actual jedi robes. I have no idea where the 180m budget went. It certainly doesn't look like a big budget show. The pacing is awful and most of the episodes are simply boring.

The fanbase is easily its own worst enemy. The quality of the product never killed my enjoyment of the franchise, but the butthurt fanboys certainly came close.

Jake Lloyd and Anakin Skywalker in the Phantom Menace was just a little kid and Jake Lloyd did do a great job at playing little Anakin. Before Anakin and therefore his Sith alias Darth Vader got edgy, negatively emotional, and evil. What haters did to Jake Lloyd was evil to ruin a little kid’s life and to drive him insane. Those people and you know who you are out there who did that to him should be ashamed of yourselves for hating on a little kid who did nothing wrong. His acting actually was FAR better than any adult actor in anything Disney Star Wars related.

the title in the thumbnail says it all . sorry to Amandla I still remember the racist bullying she received as a little girl in that hunger games controversy but this new Amandla that I see is an adult woman now , not the child i felt the need to defend because she was innocent . 2024 Amandla ain't it , fr .she's very condescending and also not a good actress at all . She should focus on other talents imo, she can afford it, she has the means to make it happen for herself , she plays violin, loves fashion, she should focus on becoming a famous violin player , a fashion designer or a model , but acting is not for her , there's no way around it , her face is always bland when she's supposed to act !

To stop the hate they need to stop antagonising fandom and work on entertaining people instead of spreading "the message". Nobody is going to stop the hate by telling millions of people that they're horrible people for not liking your show. If people don't like your show, it's your job as an entertainer to do better in the future. And when it comes to certain franchises, especially those with a lot of lore, respecting the lore is part of doing better.

Samuel L. Jackson as Jedi is so good, but he makes an even better Nick Fury portrayal. In fact it is hard not to see Jackson as Jedi or Fury already... his acting ability makes him the perfect go to image when you want to picture either character type. But darn the acolyte lost me in the first episode for the writing & flow. It was not in any way the actors fault although the opening scene had me trying to bite my own nails off for how it grated, felt very staged and did not feel fluid (likely this is directing, scene choice, even the lighting and music made it even more limp & staged). Female actors that would make kick arse Jedi: Dominique Tipper, Cara Gee (although she would also be good in a sith role too), Leah Harvey, Lou Llobell... actually this is gonna be a long list. However no matter the actors it all comes down to writing. You could place any actor in the roles but if the writing is not good then it will grate even the most ardent fans nerves and even those new to the world/story/setting will be disappointed. See Chris Chibnall's effective destruction of Doctor Who's fans appreciation for a series right at the time of a critical change to casting (new doctor Jodie Whittaker) who even with the acting chops could not save it from the storyline.
