Despite cameos from Darth Plagueis and Yoda The Acolyte had messages about the Jedi and Sith that simply weren't popular with fans. So while The Acolyte premiere was Disney+ largest of 2024, the views didn't maintain across season 1. Is The Acolyte worth watching?

Star Wars The Acolyte reviews split the audience and critics, but the audience has once more been proven correct. Now even sources inside the shows cancellation have said that Amandla Stenberg's diss track actively damaged the reputation of the show, which you'd assume contributed to it's cancellation. At D23 Disney had The Acolyte comic books announced and even had a panel with Manny Jacinto. Which is even stranger when they announced the cancellation of the show on Manny's birthday! I was hoping for a second series of The Acolyte just because of the comedy value and the memes. But unfortunately Disney doesn't think that's worth $180 million. Yet as we know Disney realise Amandla Stenberg damaged the show, maybe that will be a hint that they should have restrictions on hiring activists in the future. She's young and she's trying to do what's right in her eyes, because she sees through a different lens. Just remember she's a young idealistic lady and we all made mistakes back at that age. You have a tendency to vilify people that are forced into hard spots. KK and LH are the real people to blame, these actors are given a crap plot and nonsense about the outside world, and after they work on a project, probably just want it to be good and will believe any reason it isn't accepted. It just sucks that we're living in this world where we're all being exploited in some way or another, because it's hard to gauge true intentions. the thing about shows getting cancelled more now, I know Acolyte shills have very tenuous grasp on reality and history, but if you go back to the 80s,90s and early 00s when networks still chased ratings above everything because they were in the business of making money then and not ticking boxes, there are countless shows, that never even made a 1st season, some didnt even make it past a 1st episode, there were shows that got cancelled half way through filming, halfway through the episodes being shown due to the mid season break. Variety used to be full of lists of renewals and which shows survived, which didnt, as the Network execs were utterly ruthless the way they went about it, and we lost way better shows than the dross Disney+ have been serving up, and they cost a fraction of the money Disney have binned.

It's a feature of American culture known as the "rule of hypodescent". Basically, if you have one drop of African blood, you're African. Other countries (like Brazil) have a spectrum of race based.mostly on skin color, but traditionally in America it's binary.
