I loaned someone $90 when I was a broke college student because a friend projected to me that he was desperate. He never paid me back. While it wouldn’t mean too much to me now to be out of $90, it meant a whole lot to me back then and I never forgot. It’s all about context.

I let my family borrow 4k from me once. When I asked my dad about when he was planning or repaying me back, he tried to stab me. He said that because he raised me all these years without asking anything back, he didn't owe me shit. That was the last straw. Parents and siblings were asking me 50 here, 100 here, and I gave in because they're family. But I also have bills to pay, stuff I want to buy or places I want to go to. I do that on top of managing my own finances when they don't because I always bailed them out, so I decided that I had enough. No more Mr. Federal Reserve, wish them well but that's it.

I let a girl use a spare ticket i had for a concert and she agreed to pay me $50 for it which was cheaper than what it cost, but she couldn't pay me that day so she said she would pay in about a week. A month passed and when I asked about it she wouldn't respond. It wasn't a big deal but it was just knowing she lied, so years passed and I messaged her to test her. I was like "Hey! How have you been?" and she seemed really happy and nice. So I said "I'm guessing you still don't have that $50 for the concert? lol" and she replied "ARE YOU SERIOUS?" then she said "I'll call the police and say you're harassing me" LOL I want to do that anytime I owe the bank.

When my dad lends money he doesn't bring it when he sees whoever borrowed from him because then they won't ask for more and that's a good idea. Someone owes me over 300 dollars I didn't give them a specific date to payback though but they won't see anymore until I see what I lent before.

If you lend money, charge them a 5% fee on top of what they are asking for. Set a day when the loan will be paid back in total and for every day they are late, charge them an additional interest of 20% (or whatever you prefer). Record the details of the agreement and them agreeing to the terms and conditions on camera, upload it to the cloud because if its up then its stuck. Everybody will either never ask you to lend money again or you get that big bag if they don't pay it back. Treat me like a bank, and I will treat you like a lick.

I have a contract with everyone that I lend the money out to and if I don't have a contract I never expect to get it back. I will expect the lawyers to come out with anyone involving my insurance or things of that nature I just do not dick around. I am currently fighting my insurance due to them not wanting to pay on a dash cam recorded act of sabotage and a person punching out my window because their car "touched for a brief second" which to them automatically nullifies my comprehensive coverage. Court for 135 dollars you'd be better off enlisting that person to work off the money. When I call your a$$ answer the phone and you better come. If he can't pay it back he should be willing to work it off in some way to make it whole. That's what friends do.

I just kind of find it so strange that guys like Corey and especially other high-end KZbinrs like Doug DeMaro can just say certain amounts of money could just be thrown away like it's nothing. I get it it's KZbinr and entertainment plus all those sponsors can make hundreds of dollars seem like nothing at the end of the day. But even somebody in the medical field like I am I'm sorry I still remember a time struggling as a college student for five plus years and $100 is a lot of money

The point is the hassle of trying to get that money back isn’t worth $100. It’s best to forget it, never lend that friend money again, and find some other way to make that $100, which can be done by credit card churning, doing odd jobs, investing etc. Plus he doesn’t have to pay for a court case.
