Oh definitely and the way they played it was perfect. first it's played as "oh she's just foreign and Russian in the US and it was a misunderstanding. she was just a pawn hired out by someone to kill Hawkeye but she can be talked out of it" But as soon as Kate asked if she kept saying her full name to prove she knows it, and Yelena's face and tone slightly changed before she rattled off Kate's entire life was terrifying. It made the entire conversation shift to the tone of "Oh she's not just being a quirky foreigner because that's who she is, she's also doing it to A) be kinda patronizing towards Kate cause she knows she better than her, and B) she was doing it to "calm" Kate down."

I don’t even understand people trying to be like “oh they’re from another universe” for some characters, like the X-Men & Mutants sure, that’s a way to explain them showing up. But Kingpin & Daredevil are just “regular” guys (for Marvel comics), you can just say “they’ve been here just in the background”. This was like people being pissed that we didn’t get Spider-Man’s origin story in the MCU & instead got a Spider-Man who’s already “established” even if he’s still new to the whole hero thing. Your right, they have very different background and understanding of the world. Kate is only around 22. She’s is so idealistic and optimistic person. Yelena seems to be the opposite. As for the age, they were born with like 13-14 years of difference, so even if you subtract 5 years in which Ylena did not exist after the snap, it will still be an age difference of at least 8 years. She’s like 30 or 31. Ylena was born and raised as part of a different generation. It’s realistic that you can sense the difference between them. The whole gen z vs millennials, different social class, extremely different live experiences and cultural background.

Sorry, but this ain’t the Hawkeye from the comics. This version is an Nth level “John Wick” type and self professed weapon. If Fisk is a problem, Barton’s going to turn him into either a porcupine or veal cutlets. I don’t think any version of Kingpin has had to deal with someone this unbelievably lethal who will kill him without hesitation. Daredevil doesn’t kill. Punisher’s not good enough to pull it off. This version of Hawkeye almost certainly is.

I think Eleanor Bishop is related to Vanessa, Kingpins wife. After the very first scene of the show I text my uncle “the momma is on some bull” lol. She definitely murked Kate’s daddy during the invasion of avengers 1, and I suspect Kate had to be alive for her to get an ongoing benefit payout. Echo and Yalena are incredible! This episode was great. For a penultimate, it shook things up so well. During the Disney/Fox merger, the question was 'would any of the dark and serious Marvel characters be 'made friendly' or stay as they are in the comics. Marvel's Helstrom (one season) was on Hulu and didn't dumb down anything. Also Deadpool 3 was announced to be Rated-R and in the MCU. Kevin Feige has gone on record about wanting to give the dark and serious characters due dillagence. Make the movies and series for Hulu with such content. The Moon Knight series or Blade on film shouldn't be dumbed down either. But we'll see what happens.

Black Mariah/Alfre Woodard is already in the MCU in Civil War so Luke Cage can't come back unless they try to Ralph Boener her. I loved Iron Fist. Idgaf lol... His story is very similar to Spider-Man except his parents were rich. Peter Parker's parents died in a plane crash just the same. Disney allows stuff when they want. A great example is the F-bomb being dropped on the Facts of Life show thingy. All of these Netflix characters can be used as variants that are very close to the universe they are from. Crazy how these shows got canceled and the characters were blocked from being used for 2 years and it seems like this is the only good thing that has come from Covid.

True that there would be some double casting if they (re)integrated the Netflix shows, but Michelle Yeoh (Guardians vol. 2, Shang Chi) and Gemma Chan (Captain Marvel, Eternals) have shown it can work without much confusion. And agreed, Iron Fist may not have been the mystical martial arts story I expected but I liked it all the same!

Having seen NWH I think the Netflix people are soft reboots like you said. Peter seemed genuinely stunned by Matt’s ability , which makes sense, but it begs the question as to how Spider-Man could have so many hero’s in his territory without having ran into them. So I think it’s Matt , Luke, ect early on. Maybe prior to dawning any personas.

The Netflix shows took place in Hell's Kitchen and Spidey is in Manhattan. They're very from each other. And Daredevil is a low key super-hero who actually cares about his secret identity. It would make little to no sense if Spidey knew who he was.

I would agree with Martin but the only thing about that is John Wick became very violent at some point Marvel characters such as Deadpool The punisher and I could ramble but for those two Their stories wouldn’t work unless what was going on around them was insanely violent Like venom versus carnage I hate to say it I was extremely disappointed wasn’t violent enough they needed to be rated R

Agree with one thing Iron Fist sucked. That was the first season. Second season was better. It was a case of to little to late. That horrible first season over shadowed everything. To bad because I did see the potential.

My theory: Captain America 4 will be a team up with Luke Cage in Harlem against the Serpent Society. Falcon spent a lot of time in Harlem in the comics, just like Luke Cage. Plus Luke Cage has a lot of villains that share the same names with members of the Serpent Society, so consolidating them only makes sense.

I don't think Fisk told Kazi to do anything. If Fisk wanted someone dead, he would do it himself. Kazi did this so he could move up a peg.
