i’m glad they didn’t just pretend the deafness/hearing impairments were already there. It makes sense it was just from wear and tear and shows how he is human compared to the other avengers, it brings him down to earth.

Kate knew that Jack was "letting her win," because he's a left-handed swordsman and NEVER went for the surefire kill that every southpaw fencer is taught.

Yeah definitely, that move was a her forcing him to be honest about it. It also helped to size him up and try to see his true character as a person.

Hawkeye and Mrs. Hawkeye talked about it on the phone. He told her he was dealing with the Tracksuit Mafia and she asked him what the play was. He said he would do a Catch and Release, let himself get caught, etc. She mentioned it was one of Nat's moves.

The show is doing an amazing job of taking aspects from the Fraction run and perfectly adapting them to fit the MCU's events, have their own identity, but still serve the same purpose - Hawkeye's hearing, Kate's "origin" story, Clint not feeling like much of a hero, and even Grills serving pretty much the same purpose as comic!Grills - to get Clint out of his comfort zone and actually *enjoy* something.

The Fraction comic run has some heavy stuff but it is SO FUNNY, and so fun to read, I'm really thrilled that they kept all of that in here so far. "Ok this looks bad" and the bro-ments are just peak HawkGuy

Just a fun show to watch. That’s pretty much all we ask for. Just to redirect us from the huge multiverse, and cosmic events going on. I’m okay with that tbh.

Marvel Studios are deathly ashamed of overtly extravagant original comics costumes and makeup, with a few notable exceptions. She'll probably wear a Terminator 3 hoody with a Talk To The "Hand" print or something stupid like that

@@2nd3rd1st Echo's costume isn't as tacky as some of the others. She didn't appear until 1999 so she doesn't have some absurd, 1960s Scarlet Witch face-framing tiara to contend with. The handprint is really pretty cool as it's a tribute to her father. Other than that, some black pants and forearm wraps are the extent of the costume. Not saying you're wrong about the costuming in general, but I don't see why they wouldn't give Echo her costume.

You guys realize that Hawkeye has always been a reluctant hero. And especially after he was Ronin, he feels undeserving of the hero attention. I think when he learns how he inspired Kate, he may actually heal from that. Also, the development of Kate's character is going to be awesome. We've learned how great she is athletically, but she doesn't have experience 'real world' fighting. That was very clear in the wine room fight. She did some good moves, but others not so much. She's only going to get better. Love you guys!!!!

The Swordsman was a favourite Avengers villain for me when I first encountered him in Mighty World of Marvel in the 70s (it did black and white reprints of 60s Marvel comics diced up into smaller chunks, as weekly issue, )
