Here's my idea for a movie pitch: The evil precursor Kermit puppet from the Wilkins coffee commercial gets a psychological slasher horror comedy thriller from Brian Henson (director of "The Happytime Murders"), co-producing the film with Lisa Henson through their The Jim Henson Company banner, Henson Alternative, Jason Blum's Blumhouse Productions and working from a script by Christopher Landon ("Paranormal Activity", "Happy Death Day" and "Freaky"). The plot of the movie itself is an extremely violent and cartoonishly sadistic farce, very loosely inspired by the Dr. Seuss story of "Green Eggs and Ham". The evil Wilkins puppet will have to be played by none other than Steve Whitmire, AKA the original Kermit the frog after the death of Jim Henson in early 90's. 🐸☕☠ Well, what are your thoughts? 🤔

To JIM's defense, back then it was the wild west for advertising, and entertainment for film and tv. Anything goes for the sake of cartoon humor. Remember, these were the times when Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes and Tex Avery characters were stuffing dynamite down their pants, and blasting shotguns in each others faces. This is what humor was before things got regulated for the most part during the 70s, and definitely the 80s. I'd go as far as to say it's shocking to viewers of today because of how PC everything is. But back then it must of been another Tuesday.
@Valtieldan3 жыл бұрын
The fact people feel the need to defend Jim at all is disconcerting. Dark humour like this has always been a common thing with puppets and animation in general. I thought the theme of these would be that not wanting to try the product is a negative and met with consequences, but the individual was punished for accepting a bite of the product. Also, it could be taken as the product is so bad that someone would jump to take a bite out of someone else rather than simply finishing the food.
