Matthew Vaughn has basically become the British Robert Rodriguez, too busy playing with his CGI toys to make a good story anymore. KINGSMAN was in my top 10 that year, but this spy shit has gotten old. I think what killed me was Samuel L Jackson in this movie as the former “master spy” for the CIA or whatever but all he did was hang out in his man cave the whole movie watching the NBA. They probably showed up a ol’ Sam Jackson’s house and just filmed the guy watching TV for real. Also the scene where Bryce Dallas Howard skates on spilled oil while firing guns like she was in Contra was beyond outlandish. 😂

A lonely lady novelist gets caught up in a caper with surprising similarities to the pulp books she's been writing. When Alfie the cat attacked Bryan Cranston it looked more like a cat from Catwoman than a werewolf from Van Helsing. Ultimately this movie was a great idea that was executed terribly and twisted so many times it broke the movie but that's just my opinion.

Another big issue with this movie is Matthew Vaughn thinking that the movie is going to be such a hit that we're going to even want more of them. Like his shtick is definitely getting old now and I'm hoping this is the wake-up call he needs to change things up a bit. It's funny that Cory also mentions Zack Snyder and loving his imagery more than the story because he has the exact same problem as Vaughn has here, trying to make a franchise first rather than just a good movie!
