That could be a part of it, but I think the main reason is to gauge whether the caller is a ‘real’ Muslim or not, or so they can use it as ammunition against them if the caller starts getting on top of them.

Shariah comes in a 70% from haddiths the haddith complement the quran because it has additional information no found in quran. Contain of the sayings and doings of the prophet Mohammad. However when people started to doubt the haddiths, the scholars had no choice started to grade the haddith sahid, Hassan,and Daif, in order to save it. And give some assurance to the believers. Today M.B.S crown prince of Saudi Arabia is planning to abrogated 92 % of haddith as fabrications. He claim the quran is the constitution of Saudi arabia. The regular muslin worldwide rate the haddith base on wether they like the content of it or not. Anything they dislike is a fabrication, if a false is not true. Bla bla bla While the scholars and people of knowledge when they dislike a haddith the use a more sofisticated methodology such as. " Oh there is a problem in the narration" " oh Mustafa was no a reliable person in the chain " " oh Mansur had memory problems " therefore the haddith is such and such. The fact is the haddith is attacked 24 hour a day. If the one of the main source of a religion is attacked by their own follower s day and night, what kind of religion is this. That mean islam is unreliable in itself . What do you think?
