This man said there's is one thing worse than the sin itself, and that is accusing a person of sinnning if there has been no sin committed. This should be heard and heard well by all gossipers, it is important. This impressed me; interesting to hear the point made so strongly. Uncomitted sins werent commited, thus are not punishable. If you plan to sin, but you restrain yourself and dont do it, Allah even rewards you. If you however did Zina in your home, you cant be punished aswell. And for me to say ,,She did it !!" wouldnt be allowed aswell. I could get punished for accusing you without having proof or 3 other witnesses.

But women can be sometimes be punished if they get pregnant and then the man is not punished because there were no witness. Also when there is rape the woman is treated as having confessed zina and the man need only say it didn't happen, then she is punished but not her attacker.

nihit verma glad you say you cant push sharia on people on that we agree. Still, I dont think its the best way to make a better society at all. Having sex before marriage should be no ones business except yours and maybe god if you believe in him. Sharia law unfortunately applies to everyone born into sharia law applying society wether they want ir or not. Another problem i see is that many of the punishments are applied to offences that affect no one but yourself- and therefore in my view should not be offences at all, but a personal choice. I.e: leaving islam, sex before marriage, homosexual sex. Also inheritance and domestic laws are very infavourable to women. The main problem of this is that you are completely helpless if you are born into one of these countries and do not wish to live by it. Sharia should be something personal.

Can somebody explain to me, if the conditions are technically impossible to be fulfilled, to add more, in this age and time the conditions are also 110% impossible to be met, doesn't that mean that the Hudud penal codes such as stoning, cutting hands is not suitable to be practiced in the 21st century? Therefore, makes some of these laws to become discretion under the urf or normality of the Muslims of the current time, and so the governance can implement takzir rather than hudud. Then it is not a good deterrent. It is easy for someone to get away with a crime considering you can hide it and no one will see. This provides no justice for a rape victim considering 4 witnesses needs to be seen and a rapist would never rape someone infront of 4 people. It’s very easy to get away with. It is not just that stoning is not in the Quran; it is also that Quran contradicts stoning! 4:15-19 leaves open a door for repentance. Also, 4:25 prescribes halving the punishment for married slave girls. How would you halve 'stoning to death!'? If you keep claiming that there is this hadith or that hadith; bring to us the Prophet (pbuh) and let him say that he said that. Or bring an Angel (pbuh). Or bring a book from the Heaven, testifying. Or show us Allah, manifestly! If you kill a true believer (Mu'mina/Mu'min), even if s/he is a sinner, in the name of false hadiths, by Quranic words, your punishment is eternal hellfire. Repent!

I think it is also important how the Quran mentions what adulterers can and can't do etc indicating they won't all be put to death if that make sense. I believe that if Allah subhanawataala intended for every adulterer to be killed the Quran wouldn't mention them in regards to their life after comitting the sin. Also, it is our obligation as Muslims to help conceal the victimless crimes (zina/drinking alcohol) as it is a sin to reveal what God has concealed. Now if there is a victim (rape, murder, theft) I believe we are supposed to help the victim get justice. Also, in rape cases witnesses aren't required. Regular evidence (dna etc) suffices just like in American penal code, except in sharia the punishment is death, not just a few years in prison like in America. Allah please forgive me if I have misunderstood or mispoken.

In as much as you want to emphasize on the deterrence of Allah's command, you should make it clear that it's not in the Quran and Allah didn't instruct any man to take the life of another. Allah says he forgives all sins when the sinner repents and pray for forgiveness from his Creator. Q ch 39:54. So if you stone someone after adultery,what opportunity has the person got to seek for Allah's forgiveness? Certainly Allah said He has revealed the Quran and He would protect it from the likes of Mufti Menk, Zakir Nike. The only mention of stoning within the Qur'an is where the wicked threaten righteous ones such as Musa and Ibrahim. It is never mentioned in the Quran as a recommendation or a commandment- ever. The Islamic scholars (who followed the poor examples of those who went before them) got that idea from the Torah.

However there are Hadith narrarations of people being "stoned" for adultery at the time of Prophet Mohammad, but in Hadith passages stoning often did NOT mean stoning to death; for example, stoning a platform with pebbles. Also Qur'an Chapter 24: The Light, Verse 2 specifies the prescribed penalty for unlawful sex, which is 100 lashes as a deterrent, and does NOT say anything about stoning. Also according to Psalm 103 (revealed to King David, a Prophet according to Judaism, Christianity and Islam), Verse 10, God does not punish.

Secondly, if you say still there are some incidents of stoning for adultery, as Mufti said its impossible to have 4 witnesses, means valid option is to repent. The problem is not with the hadith itself. It's that it contradicts Koran. One hadith says that the verse was eaten by a goat. The other says Omar r.a. narrated the quranic verse from memory. The problem is that no part of koran was ever missed when compared compiled. Can you believe that the thousands of huffaz did not verify that the koran was indeed complete and accurate through memory?

You do realize that you have to believe in the bible to have Iman right? You keep bashing Hadeeth believing Muslims. But you cannot understand the Quran unless you read the Torat, the Zabor of Dawood, the Books of the Prophets, and the Injeel. Because you and many other don't follow the Quran ( *when you reject the Holy Kitab* ), you have no choice but to use the Hadeeth. If you were a true studier of the Quran you would find there is no way to understand the qirat fully unless you choose the Holy Kitab or the Hadeeth for Context. The Hadeeth gives context (though most all of it untrue as you correctly believe). The Holy Kitab (Torat, Zaboor/Psalms of David, and Injeel Gospel) gives context as well (mostly all of it is true ~99%). God said he would protect all of His word, not just some of it. All of his Kitab, not just the Qur'an. Reality is you can't be a true Muslim without living out the deen of Muhammad. And there is no way to do that without the Hadeeth. You also can't be a real Muslim without accepting all the books and all the Prophets before Muhammad, which you cannot do that without the Holy Kitab. You must accept God's path of understanding of Him and His Salvation by accepting all the Prophets not trying to make a way in-between or the Qur'an says clearly that you will face humiliating punishment. Not my condemnation of you but the Qurans condemnation of you. Unless you read and believe the Zaboor, the Qur'an condemns you with many witnesses against you. The tradition is that evenyour lips will condemn you because of own recitations of the requirements to accept all of the Prophets all your life. You can begin to understand who Jesus, Yeshua the Mesi is by just reading and believing the Zaboor. Just try reading the first three chapters and you will see Yeshua/Jesus/Eesa in the text. (You know that Jesus/Yeshua/Eesa means "God's Salvation" right?) And if you are blessed enough to believe The Zaboor at least you can follow just one other prophet (Dawood) and not face God having completing disregarded the ayats you claim to believe.

I got into an argument with a Quran only guy. His main concern is Death is a very big deal and would have been in the Quran. The Quran doesn’t make a distinction on married and not married (he claims) so how can a Hadith that came out 200 years after the Quran overrule the words of Allah. I didn’t know how to respond so I stayed quiet. If someone could explain it would help a lot!

Under an islamic society people are muslims and as such believe in the hereafter so they know that even if they don't get caught, the punishment in the hellfire will be much worse and that Allah is always watching. 2. The chances of being caught are low but it is still possible and as such acts as a deterrent in that regard. 3. The point of my comment was to highlight how terrible of a deterrent something is if the chance to get caught is slim. In the lecture, the Mufti has mentioned the case of one woman who was stoned when she confessed. It's a deterrent in the sense that it is almost impossible to prove. On getting pregnant, the proof is ALMOST complete. (Could be forced) On a confession, what more is there to do except try to prove the person sick, intoxicated or insane to protect them. (This is what the Prophet SAW did in the above case, until the woman swore three or four times). I read somewhere that in the whole of the Ottoman Empire only one person was ever stoned. And Allah SWT knows best.

THERE IS 2 TYPES OF PEOPLE who call themselves muslims: 1. People who believe in Qur'an and believe Hadith only explains what Qur'an already have and doesn't add extra verse. It explains what verses existed. I'm a Muslim. I want to be closer to my religion, I'm trying to understand something, if anyone knows the answers please let me know. I heard it in a few places and even searched it up on Google. A man committed adultery, he told the prophet SAW 4 times and then he was stoned to death. I get that taking part in adultery is a great sin. But isn't Islam all about forgiveness and changing ourselves for the better. Like isn't there a story about a man who killed 100 people, but he decided to change when a scholar told that allah forgives all sins. Surely murder is more bad than adultery but why isn't the guy who has committed adultery given a second chance to repent and change his ways. I'm not saying that cheating is good, it's very bad but if he truly changed in his heart and repented to allah, shouldn't that be forgiven too?
