But the Lexus' from the 1990's and early 2000's are quite nice, like the Altezza and SC400, especially when you remember the SC400 is basically just a more luxurious A80 Supra. However, if you want a _really_ toxic community, check out the Honda Civic Type R fanboys.

@@yungboicontigo9278 What the JDM bros mean when they say "my GT-R can beat your McLaren" is that it the GT-R's RB26 can be heavily tuned to produce over 630 KW, and the Supra's 2JZ engine can be tuned to produce well over 745 KW, with some claiming to have even produced nearly 1500 KW. I've been lucky enough to be able to sit in a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, and a Nissan GT-R R34, and honestly, I would rather drive the GT-R because of it's steering wheel that isn't super overcomplicated like the Ferrari's, and the GT-R also has an amazing scent which you can smell from over 2 meters away.

I've always been into cars ever since I was a little kid. I do actually have some of my old Matchboxes and Hot Wheels but I too always check out the toy department every time I'm at Walmart and look at the Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars. I usually come home with something. I like the normal but unusual cars like the Matchbox 76 Honda Civic or a Porsche 914. Just kind of the oddball normal cars. I have also always loved building model cars. I still have my very first glue together kit which is an old Monogram kit of a T Bucket truck. I built an 82 Trans Am about 30 years ago and painted it red with black interior and put gold lace wheels on it. 2 years ago I actually bought that exact car right down to the gold lace wheels. So I had to restore my model then to update it. 6 years ago I bought a 2013 Shelby GT500 in Grabber Blue with white stripes and Recaro seats. I bought 3 different size diecast cars in the same color combo (the 1/18 scale being an almost exact replica) plus a remote control version. I am totally onboard with your obsession with your model cars. You've got some really obscure versions and interesting stories. Nice video. I really enjoyed it.

I've been making scale models for years. Made a custom jet worth $1500 and make one or two a year for friends and family Christmas presents. My mom loves Magnum PI, so last year she got a 1/35 scale version of TC's chopper. They did a wonderful job on your rig. Especially since that kit doesn't exist!

Engrossing most people out there don't the perception of the market moves and tend to be mislead in facts like this and always depend on Money in the Bank very bad idea. When you can put your money into working for you..

This is the kind of stuff why I like Doug's channel, geeky car stuff from someone who does his own thing.. btw they do make a Lego version of your green defender too. And a friend of mine actually designs bespoke Lego sets of people's cars..

An hour before seeing this video me and my husband ordered our first model car: a 1980 Citroen 2CV in white & green.

Doug would be shaking because of the quirkiness of their quirks. But I think Skoda would be absolutely his brand if he was european 😂

Reminds me that in South America there was for sale a nostalgic collection of model cars, with regular cars from the 70's to the 2000s. Like a Chevrolet Chevette, Mazda 626, VW Brasilia, Renault Twingo, even a Chevy Aveo.

Cool collection. I grew up a little bit earlier than you in the late 80s and I too was an odd child who preferred “normal” car models. My favorites were two 1:64 diecasts from Majorette, a sky blue Oldsmobile Omega and a mint green metallic Honda Accord. Also had a matchbox Mercury Sable wagon and a hot wheels Chevy Citation. Wish I still had them….good times
