The Subaru Baja Turbo is a very interesting car. Today I'm reviewing the Subaru Baja to show you why the Baja is so great -- and I'm going to show you all around the Subaru Baja Turbo. Then I'm going to drive the Baja and explain what it's like to drive Subaru's odd car-truck combo.

His rating system (or rather the DOUG SCORE) is stupid because the most important thing that takes place is looks and performance, and that's what Doug cares about. He likes the super cars and all those Lambos. I hate all super cars except the Ferrari and Aston Martin, but the cars I like are the old cars [the 1970 ones.] The most important thing for cars is practically, reliability, and storage.
@bakatazz
@bakatazz 4 жыл бұрын
VramanNoodles Brawl Stars that is your opinion. He has mentioned that the Doug Score is biased towards faster cars and super cars, so live with it. I agree that maybe he should have 2 different versions, one for fast cars and one for practical cars, but that probably won’t happen. Plus, it is the DOUG Score, not the EVERYBODY Score. Basically, every one has their own opinion, and the Doug Score is based around his. Also, not everyone thinks that practicality is the most important thing for a car, that is your opinion.

Yeah, you could ditch the stupid bars and have a double walled tail gate to mimic the extender function and it would be perfect. It was done before, i forget the mini truck that had that as an option (obviously for the same reasons) and it's stupid simple. The tail gate goes down, you pull from the main hinge by a lever the half up, and then from the inside two sides spring to make up for the gaps left and right. Thicker tailgate, yes, but it's not in the middle of your bed when not in use...i think it was a Toyota...i think.

Not sure I would appreciate him doing that to MY owner's manual. (I am very particular). Most of my vehicles are used so they don't have manuals. I covet original owners manuals. I have one in almost perfect condition. The Subaru guys drooled over it. It's in Garnet Red Pearl. Extremely rare if not one of a kind. The Subaru guys have NEVER seen one. 58,000 miles. Eat your heart out. 3,000 miles a year for the last 8 years. The 89 year old man that sold his TOY to me actually cried as I was driving away. His wife made him sell it because he didn't drive it enough. It is a GEM. He never used the radio or CD player. He didn't even know he had an alarm on it. It does need a turbo though. Even though it's an automatic. I live at 2,200 feet and it's hard on a non supercharged or non turbo engine. I go past 4,000 feet often. You lose 10% every 1,000 feet. Mine was just aligned and it feels like it's on rails. It's scary how well it handles. Rural windy roads. Fugget about it!! 225 60 17'S. Please anybody let me know if you have seen a red one. I haven't.

The Baja was a callback to the Brat, which was Subaru’s answer to the El Camino and Ranchero, though the Brat had seats in the bed. I really wish GM would bring the El Camino back to the states, especially with crossovers being so popular. It would be a crossover pickup, with better handling and fuel economy than a regular pickup.

12 years with mine and I still won't let it go. Fun to drive because of the few extra ponies under the hood. it's dependable, and fits anywhere and load some stuff in the back like a washer or a stove. It was shipped to Puerto Rico and it spend the rest of its days there.

ucf1999 I’m saying it looks like a knockoff even though it was the original. I’m not saying they were copying off them. I used “Chinese knockoff” as in it looks like a poor quality Chinese knockoff, as China copies cars a lot. And even though it was made in 2006, it still shares some qualities from its 1990’s outback counterpart. I know a lot of modern and old cars share the same body shape, but this truck looks like something out of a Frankenstein movie, although I have to admit it looks fun to drive.

This isn't the first video I've watched on the Baja but I'm looking at it now and it could have been a bit more useful as a pick-up if they made it a two seater coupe utility and made the bed bigger with all that space. A proper Subie Ute! And on that note I've always found it odd they didn't sell this in Australia, since the Outback and Forester were and continue to be quite popular here.
