When I moved to NYC in 2008 I sold my 2004 Vibe. In 2014 when I needed a car, I bought a 2006 Vibe, which I still own. If I needed to replace it, I'd probably buy another first gen Vibe because it's small, it's reliable/really a Toyota, the front seat folds flat, and the hatch glass pops up, so I can fit a ton of stuff in it. You can also add a cheap wireless CarPlay radio that looks like it came with the car.

But that's because over here in Europe, everyone learn to drive Manual and even now in 2024, a ton of People prefer a Manual Option over an Automatic (Yes in Europe some European Brands offer a ton of Models as Manuals while not in the USA). I was surprised to hear him say it's hard to find I just checked the German Classifieds for Aston Martin Vantage V8s (any type) and almost half of them are Manuals I guess they all went here Prost & Cheers from Berchtesgaden in the Bavarian Alps

As a current M5 (F90) owner, I believe the upcoming M5 Wagon (Touring) will be a niche vehicle. The price if over 150k will play a big part for those that are considering it. As a member on several BMW forums, members are eagerly awaiting its arrival and will make the purchase, at least that it was their saying presently. As Doug and the two other gentlemen said on the pod cast, I live in San Diego County and I see very few M5 (F90’s) on the roadways, hardly see any M3 (G80’s) or M2 (G87’s). What I do see is a plethora of Porsche Macan’s, Audi Q5’s, and BMW X5’s and X3’s.

The BMW Touring is entering the game late, but for most buyers, the best (and rarest) wagons are still out of reach. 100k+, typical, sickening. I have a 2017 VW Alltrack and consider myself fortunate to have bought a competent (and lovable) wagon for a reasonable price. Wagons (estates) are still my favorite body style since they have the most practical functionality and good driving dynamics someone can find in one vehicle these days (sad, but true). The new 4Runner is only adding to the mind-boggling confusion any buyer might have when they step into a Toyota dealership. What the what? They have so many SUVs now it is almost mystifying. I guess you just have to decide which one you like in terms of design and size and call it a day. Why buy a new Land Cruiser over the new 4Runner? Flip a coin, draw straws, whatever; pick the car looks best to you and you're done. They are all reliable too, so nobody loses. The McLaren you profiled is still my favorite model, the P1 being a close second. The brand is so unappreciated no matter what anyone says, but they have relied on that same V-8 engine far too, too many times and iterations. They should have done a 10- or 12-cylinder while they could. Now? No! That's done, the window is closed, too bad for you. Let's hope the Saudis just keep the brand alive. It NEEDS to be! Who else is giving Ferrari a run for the money like they are? No one! Save the manuals? Heck, save the McLarens! As for ICE cars vs. EVs, well, there is always a backlash/pushback in the market. ALWAYS! We are currently in the mess of a fluctuating market of values between the two and it will all come down to basic Economics 101 grounded in the 'bottom-line' and the illusive appeal of esthetic beauty. I predict there will might a time when TDIs (or any diesel engine) might become the most sought-after mode of transportation. Check into it; Europeans are now trading in their 3-year-old EVs for diesels in numbers that might surprise you (or any American). It has the entire EU on edge. Talk about an 'Inconvenient truth'. Nothing is as it appears by the media at large; dolts and idealists with no connection to reality! Only guys like you seem to know better. Great show, yours might be the best in the industry. The format is perfect, the content and casual humor, ever better. Keep it up guys, keep it up! I look forward to it every week.
