Like the other guy said, if you're willing to remove the passenger side, at least commit to it fully. @@BEA5TBEAT5 They launched the SP1 and SP2 simultaniously at the same event, as two seat setup choices of the exact same car. When you ordered one, you got to choose between the one seat version of the Monza or the two seat VERSION. There was no confusion with the buyers. The SP1 was only bought buy a few people that wanted a prettier variant and knew it wasn't built as a bespoke single seater. Ferrari did this to give buyers an option, but they knew most people would want two seats. Plus, the air conditioning being there under the cover is fuctional! It keeps the trapped air in the passenger area from getting hot, assuring the drivers lower body doesn't take all that trapped heat.

It's understandable if it's seen in a much more mass produced car, but an automobile with a limited run of only hundreds for the globe and also being sold for 2 million bucks each, you'd think that they would at least be able to design that one single piece of panel to have a layout that favors keeping it clean and free of any blanks.

If they were worried about aerodynamics and that’s why they only put in one seat, why not have a roof, that’s so much more turbulent force, and like he said the weight reduction wasn’t a factor as it’s only 60lbs lighter than an actual car

I sorta like that they just modified a 2 seater to make the SP1. Spending that much money on a single seat car, it be nice to know you're one seat away, and a simple unclipped panel from having a two seater car. (It might be more extensive than that, but it seems pretty simple)
@megachonk94402 жыл бұрын
You would also need to add the roll bar for the passenger seat and replace the trunk panel. In addition to that, I'm not sure the passenger door is fully functional. Unlike what Doug suggested, there appears to be no door pull installed to open the passenger door, so you can't reach in and open it.

Fun Fact: The wind deflector instead of a windscreen was also done on the 1996 Renault Sport Spider and it did not work to such an extent that in 1997 they added an optional windscreen, which about 3/4 of the cars had.
