Let's give a major shout-out to the guy who let Doug DeMuro review his car and gave him permission to drive and have fun with it, even though it only has like 15 miles on the odometer. Bravo, good sir. Also, I'm disappointed Doug never touched on whether that air slot actually did anything. Edit: holy shit, over 2,000 likes in a day? I’ve never had a comment this liked before lol.

It wouldn't have made sense for them to get rid of the passenger door, climate vents etc on such a low production car. I hear less than 1/3 of the Monzas are SP1s. It doesn't have the second hump though, so it looks much cooler imo.

@@EEvtg I get what you're saying, and I understand that it's easier and cheaper to reuse the same body, but being such a low production and $2 mil car, you'd think they would spend a little more time to make it as refined as possible. I just find it super lazy when supercar manufacturers build these amazing unique cars and yet still cut so many corners. Like the other guy said, if you're willing to remove the passenger side, at least commit to it fully. They are willing to make a new rear panel to remove the second hump, but not a new side(?) panel to make the entire thing look like whole, instead of "yeah just remove the seat and put a panel over it to cover that area" regardless it's a cool car!

It's basically just the passenger compartment of the SP2 without the seat and it looks like it also doesn't have the door pull installed, so possibly the passenger door isn't truly functional. It's not like you can convert and SP1 to and SP2 just by adding a seat, since it lacks the roll bar for the passenger seat. It's understandable if it's seen in a much more mass produced car, but an automobile with a limited run of only hundreds for the globe and also being sold for 2 million bucks each, you'd think that they would at least be able to design that one single piece of panel to have a layout that favors keeping it clean and free of any blanks.

I'm not sure he ever got to going fast enough for it to really make a difference. For a car that is meant for the race track I could see the virtual windshield not really kicking in until 80 or 90MPH. At the speeds he was going (seemingly no more than 40) I doubt the virtual windshield did much. It would have been great if he could have got the car on a race track and really tested it.

@@BEA5TBEAT5 They launched the SP1 and SP2 simultaniously at the same event, as two seat setup choices of the exact same car. When you ordered one, you got to choose between the one seat version of the Monza or the two seat VERSION. There was no confusion with the buyers. The SP1 was only bought buy a few people that wanted a prettier variant and knew it wasn't built as a bespoke single seater. Ferrari did this to give buyers an option, but they knew most people would want two seats. Plus, the air conditioning being there under the cover is fuctional! It keeps the trapped air in the passenger area from getting hot, assuring the drivers lower body doesn't take all that trapped heat.
