Probably also wishing people would tell the truth about why Fisker died: enormous cost overruns, lies told to the federal government to get the loan that caught up to them leading the government to cut the loan off, battery fires, extreme quality problems (one they sent to a major reviewer broke down during testing). One estimate is that Fisker spent $700,000 to make each car that they sold to dealers for $70,000.

I wanted to buy one bevUaw I liked how it looked I ended up buying a Maserati GranTourismo instead. That was also a horrible mistake. What a nightmare of a car. Apparently it has a Ferrari motor and where I lived (NC) there was no one who could fix it so it had to go to Ferrari which if you know anythjng about Ferrari repairs it’s CONSTANT AND EXPENSIVE. Back when the car was still in the process of failing there was a company doing conversions where they removed the hybrid drivetrain and swapped in a 556 hp LSA V8 (the one that powered the second generation CTS-V). Not sure how much weight was lost by the conversion but the Cadillac was heavy too and that engine was capable of transforming it into a legitimate performance car. Anyway they called the result the "Destino" and you can find videos of it here on KZbin. Edit: Different articles are saying different things, maybe they used the LS9 instead? Or both at different times depending on availability? In any case that engine was a bit more powerful so even better.

@@boltmix7294 Fisker signed a contract with Tesla in 2007 to design a car, in 2008 Fisker had started a competing car company and didnt fulfill his contract by doing substandard work and potentially "sabotaging" it according to Tesla, and used the money from the contract to start a competing company. www.nytimes.com/2008/04/15/technology/15tesla.html?_r=0 But the lawsuit being won was more about breach of contract (which was what the arbitrator ruled on) more than it was secret technology being stolen and it's true that he didnt breach the contract by starting the company, even though Tesla obviously felt betrayed in a sense; exclusivity rights werent outlined in the contract. As for whether or not he used knowledge he had gained at Tesla and used it to develop the Karma; it's far from being "probably false". Him not being a good designer in Telsa's eye is actually provably true considering they had to scrap his design and start over fresh with Franz von Holzhausen who was on a hot streak after designing the Mazda Furai... whether or not he did a bad job on purpose is yet to be seen though... though considering his past work at Aston with the DB9 and V8 Vanatage or BMW with the Z8 and of course the Fisker's, whether it be the Karma, the Ocean, Orbit, or E-Motion which are all, imo, beautiful (with albeit stupid names) I dont think it's too unfair to say that him sabatoging it is certainly possible

EV was added, using lower wattage from the batteries to get an environmental cruise in, or ER, for energy recovery. ER automatically turns on the Gen, no matter what. Sport mode does too, but only adaptive to how you drive. Super fun cars
