Sam 4 is petty, stuck-up and psychopathic all at once, and that's what makes him great. He doesn't want to be a tree, and will gladly resort to bombing them if needs must. After that he just descends into pure demonic madness, and tries to compensate by saying "the darkness is really getting to me".
