@@amysblessings Now back to Bull bars and another comment I wrote. They are much the same as the large frames and bumper bars that are already on the front of the Larson Farms semi-trucks. Deer 🦌 are thick in rural Arkansas for sure. I live at the very end of a dead end road in the woods. Like Doug said, they're unpredictable. If you're driving at night you will see them in groups of around a dozen. Sometimes they stand still, move along side, jump in front, hit you in the side, you never know. There's one doe that will stand in the middle of the road and just look at you. Then it's a waiting game. I stop and wait to see where she's going to go, and I keep some distance as I know she might just jump on the car. I should drive my old 2002 Silverado when I know I'm going to be on the road after dark. On the Cadillac question, you're definitely old enough to have one and not get funny looks. I had a Cadillac in 1978, I was a teenager, but the car was a 1969 Sedan Deville. Beautiful car, wish I could find another just like it and buy it from the original owner. That'll never happen. It had many of the options that weren't common back then, everything was power, steering, brakes, windows, automatic dimming headlights, power seats, cruise control, climate control, I'm sure there was more, but it was a long time ago. Probably the best thing about it was the 472 cubic inch engine that made 375 horses and the turbo 400 transmission. It was fast. There wasn't much for kids to do around here back then, so drag racing was lots of fun. My old Cadillac won a lot of races. 😊

I’m 74 now, a native southern Minnesotan, after school , a 20YR career in the Marines. As a kid, my father owned a small farm 240 acres and a trucking business 3 tractors, 5 trailers. + 5 straight trucks. Annually we experienced 7-10 deer strikes. In the late 50’s dad and I were in a truck stop in shokopee (cargill grain river elevator) and a clerk was putting out on display these little black “deer whistles”. U know ..silent like a dog whistle….then they were 2 for a dollar, dad mentioned what can we loose but $10.bucks! 5 packs later on 5 different trucks, we went to 2-3 deer strikes a year. My dad passed, and we sold the trucks and our farm , but still run deer whistles on ALL the families vehicles. I’m a pilot car @100k annually driving our country and NO DEERE STRIKES for anyone! Poo poo the idea if U like, but for $5. Bucks a pack, it’s some peace of mind! NOTHINGS A GUARANTEE, make sure it has a clean flow of air, in ur grill, on ur bumper! BUT CLEAN FLOW! U won’t hear it, it’s similar to a silent dog whistle! Just a thought from a retired MINNESOTA MARINE! Loyal watcher of all three of U! Semper Fidelis. Y’all have a GREAT OPERATION. One summer I’d love the opportunity to meet and greet with y’all! TITAN OUT.😅

Any age Dougo. Around here, when flies bite, it means it's going to rain. The thing about insurance, you can get let your vehicle get totaled and you still technically don't have to fix it. Today's vehicles are designed to be totaled out instead of repaired... too much plastic. Now, back in the 80's when they used to sell the deer whistles, those actually worked to help keep the deer away, today, not so much. Now, Amy, get them boys to wash your vehicle... seems like they enjoy washing things. Around my area, in the "high deer density" spots, we've learned to toot the horn while driving through, helps to deter them. Cheers :)

Thanks to both of you for another wonderful video produced by Amy and Dougo. It was great to watch and the subjects were most interesting. First. The Cadillac. Totally agree with you both. Nice car but it got sold so that is the end of that. Keep your eyes out for another one some time. As far as Cadillac goes, you both deserve a nice car whether it be a Cadillac or ford or Chevy is not the point. Drive a Cadillac if you do choose. End of that. Sorry it got sold on you. Second. Deer on the road in October. Yes that is a problem. Be as careful as possible but can happen real easy. Fix your vehicle up and drive it and wait for the next deer. 🦌. Oh my. That is life. If you have a lot of damage then trade it off. Yeah!!!!!! Third. Life in general. Busy time Of the year with harvest at the farm. Oh my. Maybe just take each day as it comes and forget all the other. Get harvest season over with and then do the fun stuff like fixing cars and looking for cars. You both take care of yourself and ENJOY each day as it comes!!!!!!! My blessings to you both. Have some great days of JOY!!!!! The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

In all that time I never hit 1 dear, but I did hit 3 big dogs that damaged the front bumper of the semi. 2 of the dogs was at the same time over in Illinois. Had just picked up a brand new semi. And I hadn't put a 1000 mile on it and it already needed a new bumper. The first dog I hit was down in the Caroline's. Was on a back road going back to the interstate from doing a deliver to a tiny town. But in my personal vehicles, I've yet to hit a deer. Best of luck on getting the repairs done.
