Great demo for the Incra system. I’m putting mine together now. The first project, sadly, will be a coffin box for a cremation urn. An elderly cousin passed this past week from the virus. I’ll take great pride in making the box and it will allow me to learn how to use the Incra system for something meaningful.

Your channel is excellent. I have no idea why you only have 2k subs. The algorithm sucks. I’m a blacksmith and getting into woodworking. I’ve decided to get the incra table instead of the JessEm because of your videos. I’ve also decided to at least try the festool sanders (I don’t care for the price tag). Incra and Festool should sponsor you. Thank you for your effort.

High TexaCajun, thank you. Its really encouraging to know that people like yourself are enjoying the vids, as you say, 'The Algorithm!!' Anyway, I really hope you enjoy the Router Table, its a fantastic tool that every workshop should have (IMO). Let me know how you get on. 😁👍👌

What a great box! I also to take a moment to applaud you on your technical merits - you have some of the finest camera I've seen in all the woodworking videos I've watched. The ceiling camera is excellent. Your audio is good, as well, and at a good level with your music. I'm not sure why you don't have more subscribers, as you're putting a lot of effort into a quality product. Keep it up and they'll come to you! :-)

Yes, I agree! I watch an awful lot of KZbin videos focusing mainly on joinery! You camera use, and editing are excellent….no stops and starts to reposition cameras. The composure of your videos is equal to that of good ole Peter Parfitt! Keep up the good work Graham….would be good to see more frequency!,

Hi David, am I correct in thinking that the imperial version of the LS Positioner has a scale that will identify the centre of the board being worked on, but the metric does not? I find this really strange and frustrating that so many tools/equipment seem to favour imperial, and only giving metric a look in when they feel like it. None more so than ‘Woodpeckers’, who mainly make imperial tools, but on the odd occasions when they’re feeling generous, also make a metric version of the same tool too. Incra also sell a project book for use with the LSP, but, you’ve guessed it, only for the imperial version, meaning it’s useless for those of us who own the metric version as the scales do not work. Most of the planet use metric, I just don’t get it, besides you’d think they’d be over the moon not having to multiply and dividing imperial fractions. My other question if I may, did you purchase your Woodpecker tools direct and pay the obscene shipping costs, or have you found someone in the UK that will sell these tools at a competitive price? I really enjoyed your 3 videos, I’ve no excuses anymore to keep putting off cutting these type of beautiful half blind dovetails. One thing that did make me smile was when you interchange the words "rebate" & "rabbet" through your videos. Was that to keep the folks either side of the pond happy?
@GTWoodshop
@GTWoodshop 4 жыл бұрын
HI Steve, no, neither system has a center finder. Once 'You've ' found center you can set it on the scale of either. My first 'Incra' on the table saw was imperial, I've now converted it to metric. With regard to Woodpecker tools, I have bought direct from Woodpeck and in the UK. Buying direct, the tools are a much better price, but the shipping cost for some reason is obscene. You can now get quite a few of their tools form www.woodworkersworkshop.co.uk, but their not cheapo, see,s to be a dollar to pound rate, and yes to rebate and rabbet. 😊😊😎

Nice video. I have the exact same LS system so will give your project a go. Question: Is there a way to extend one of the dovetails and pins so when you cut off the lid in accounts for the router bit kerf, keeping the remaining equal in size to the uncut dovetails? Or do you find the difference is not noticeable?
@GTWoodshop
@GTWoodshop 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jim, Yes you could just skip one of the cuts. That a brilliant idea that hadn't occured to me. Thanks Jim.👌👍😎

How do you account for wood movement in the top and bottom panels?
@GTWoodshop
@GTWoodshop 3 жыл бұрын
Hi jtambor1, I made sure the wood I choose was dry, if memory serves it was 6%. So far there is no sign of adverse movement, plus I also thought with the piece being so small movement would be very little anyway. Time may prove me wrong. 🤔👍
