We make short documentaries, explainers and original series for people who care about the world’s biggest challenges. Context is anchored around three of the most significant and interdependent issues of our time: climate change, the impact of technology on society and inclusive economies. We contextualize how critical issues and events affect ordinary people, society and the environment.
Context is a media platform brought to you by the Thomson Reuters Foundation, the corporate foundation of Thomson Reuters, the global news and information services company. Through journalism, media development, free legal assistance, and convening initiatives, we combine our unique services to drive systemic change.

There must've been a lot of incompetence and mismanagement on the part of the construction companies. As a courtesy, the very least they could do is rehouse them if they were going to forcefully kick them out of their homes.

Such a hard life with the cold weather. How could anyone be homeless or living in a tent ?

Mongolians have lived in tents/yurts for centuries. With so much open land, I don't know why they are fighting for cubby holes. You don't need that many sheep to weave a yurt. Concrete on the other hand, is resource and transportation intensive. They shouldn't follow the industrial Chinese way.

@@pinchevulpes In today's USA, it's hard to learn reading, because society requires other types of knowledge and skills to be functional. Brains that are native among cars, microwaves, drive thrus, social media, celebrities, and dozens of options in toilet paper, Stanley cups, and other consumer goods, are not fit for old fashioned skills like reading. It's not the people's fault.
