Honestly, the structure of the Witches’ Road itself is so malleable, it could be made into any adventure for any group. Five trials, and then a character specific prize at the end. I love it.
@FuzzyOnTheDetailsКүн бұрын
Yeah the structure feels built for MMRPG, where straightforward combats without complications aren’t always challenging. Incorporating unique environmental effects, timers, and escape-room type mechanics… all of that makes for more engaging combats.

There's also great potential to add another layer of "deduction game" in the vein of Alien, Among Us, Mafia, or Werewolf - where one of the five is secretly plotting to sacrifice the others to Chthon, Dormammu, Mephisto, Nightmare, etc. The way this mechanic usually works in other games is that there is an "agenda" card for each player, but one of them is secretly your werewolf/imposter equivalent. It's potentially a good way of including some subtle PVP elements without interfering with player agency. Just mix the buy-in question into the other questions during your Session Zero to make sure it's ok (but without fully letting the flerkin out of the bag).

Amazing how this was made for like, what, 1/5 of what Secret Invasion cost?

I did a draft of a few "iconic item sets" from the MCU as a kind of balancing experiment, just before I got all the MMRPG books. The Darkhold was one of them. Basically, certain PCs could discover "pages" (cards) from the Darkhold, like in the Midnight Sons arc from the 90s, and each would grant them a) a single Magic: General/Chaos/Sorcery power, and b) a sense of where the next nearest page is. They could also "bond" with (or "become") a page, but if they die, they become something like a zombie/wraith/lich (like Dr Strange in MoM). If they gather all 22 pages/powers, they can conjure/restore and "bond" with the rest of the book, allowing them to "cast" powers from other sets from their Health points pool, etc. There were other "casting cost" trade-offs too, like taking on negative Tags/Traits, bonding with the book reducing Focus costs, making it "cheaper" to cast from Health points, etc - because if your PC dies while bonded, they become undead, and a vessel for CHTHON (see The Phoenix Force upgrade [p 149] from X-Men Expansion, but add all remaining Magic/Telepathy/Telekinesis powers for Step 4). Others from the MCU could include The Mandarin's Ten Rings, Ms Marvel's Nega-Bands, The Book of Cagliostro, Hawkeye's Trick Arrows, or the Infinity Gems/Stones. The old Marvel Handbooks and newer modern/sci-fi 5e books make great sources for specific items as well, as the MMRPG books are a bit light on gear.

Awesome ideas there! Thank you so much for sharing them. I suspect we're going to see more equipment and magical items as new Expansions come out. Vehicles, too. I know they had a ton of things they wanted to fit into the Core Rulebook but just didn't have the page count bandwidth.

You should start laying out adventure ideas and target challenges for encounters on the channel possibly working your way towards publishing material on Drive-thru RPG
@FuzzyOnTheDetailsКүн бұрын
I wish I could! As of right now it is not possible as DriveThruRPG does not have a “Fan Content Policy or other 3rd Party License” in place with Marvel. My understanding is they’ve reached out to Marvel on it. I’ve followed up with DTRPG twice. I haven’t seen or heard many people inquiring about it online, so it may not be a high priority for the community. If folks WOULD like something like this in place I encourage them to reach out to both Marvel and Drive-thru!

i was hoping we got another adventure like Deadpool's but with some of the supernatural characters in Marvel Comics for Halloween . Marvel has some great magic users in the comics they could also do adventure using them and add and update more rules for the how the Magic works in the game . AGATHA All Along was a great show i loved it also loved Moon Knight to . with out spoiling anything some of the characters in Agatha All Along where different then they are from the comics and i didnt mind that the series still told a great story . the Marvel Multiverse game lets you play a character how ever you want to if you are playing a pre made character or made up your own hero or a hero who didnt get a profile yet . the old FASERIP game i made the character Bishop before he had a profile i was somewhat close to his character profile when it came out but that character didnt feel like Bishop to me . the MM RPG i think part of it is you have different ranks and the other part of the fun when you build a character after you start playing with that character. depending on the adventure you are doing you could have something go wrong and your character rank is changed i like that a lot . great video love this stuff and thanks for your time
@FuzzyOnTheDetailsКүн бұрын
Yeah, I was hoping for an adventure in the 4th Quarter, as well. Now what am I gonna stuff in my kid's stocking this holiday season??? Moon Knight is up there for me, too! I think WandaVision and Agatha are my #1/#2 (probably in that order), Moon Knight and Loki are my #3 and #4 (the order changes ;-) ) Thanks for the comment! I always appreciate you taking the time to write.
