I’m so glad you’re feeling better - sounds like this bug really got you! Emma did a fabulous job with her kaftan! I’m not big on religion, but I stick around until the end because your « little bit of Jesus » isn’t preachy and doesn’t make me feel like I’m 5 years-old. Your prayers are very nice thoughts and they come from such a sincere, loving heart. So thank you! 💞

Gosh I’m glad you are feeling better. I haven’t been sick but I did a silly thing and fell. I was climbing on something to reach some things and fell backwards. At 74 I shouldn’t stand on anything thicker than a piece of paper, but I learn the hard way. I didn’t fracture anything but my upper back and sternum have been very painful. Coughing would probably kill me. Your daughter did a great job and I love your hair. Love your Jesus, too.

Missed you. So happy you are feeling better. Take lots of vitamin D and C and rest. We get deceived when we start feeling better and over- do things. I'm so happy for you, that your daughter likes to sew. That is a gorgeous caftan, by the way. Mine has no interest in crafty kinds of things. Though she does appear to have some painting abilities. She's more of a writer. God Bless. 🌷Bernadette

Hi Jen, Sorry you got knocked for a loop with the flu. 🤒. But happy to hear you are on the mend. Emma’s caftan came out beautifully and looks like plenty of room for shrinkage in the laundry- if it happens. I heard years ago that greige (grey) goods are the base cloth that are further processed and printed to make our final fabrics. They come in different qualities and may have the same printed design, hence the cheaper pricing at Hobby Lobby or JoAnn’s vs a designer name brand. I was just in my local JoAnn’s this morning and actually found a few 100% rayons that appealed to me. 👍. Didn’t purchase any as I recently bought some $$$ fabric elsewhere. ☺️. Do you know if our friend Michelle is ok? Haven’t seen anything new from her in awhile. 🙏 all is ok.

Lovely to see you up and about! What a horrible two weeks you've had. We love our little Grandkids but they certainly do love to spread their germs around 😂. Glad you are on the mend now. I've made that new look top and I loved it, I did it in two jerseys. Emma did wonderful job with that kaftan and wow, wasn't her original one just the most incredible design. Lovely to see you and yes, how unfair it dragged on so long for you! ❤xx❤

You definitely know about grandson germs! I'm glad to hear the NL top is a good one! I'll have to look back at your videos to see it. I agree about that original caftan, that butterfly wing design was gorgeous. I hope she decides to make more things after the success of this one. Love you! xox

I'm glad you are on the mend. I had covid a few years ago and my only symptom was a mouthful of canckers sores. I generally have one or two, as a teenager I had them all the time. I thought of you when I was at a vintage sale on Saturday. I saw a pretty white cotton wrap robe. When i looked at the label, imgaine my delight and surprise when I saw Laura Ashley, and only $30. I will never wear it as a robe, I plan on cutting it off to a blouse length and adding buttons off centre.

So sorry to hear you’ve been so sick. Hopefully pretty soon it will be gone and you’ll be back to normal. Love the dress and kaftan your daughter made. I’m going to get started on the real bootstrap pants form tomorrow. I did a practice one last time we were in Florida. I spent yesterday block fusing interfacing to 2.5 yards of material with my iron. I had to turn my cutting table into a big ironing board to get it done. I get my first cataract surgery for right eye this coming Thursday. I can’t wait to get it done.

Dear Jen, hope you are feeling much better. Last fall (in November actually after our cruise) I came off the ship feeling quite a hit and coughing, which was very unusual for me) and when we returned t o our daughters place I went to a walk clinic positive for, the flu! I’m the onlyone who got it. I slowly got better but it was a day by day thing. Then we got to see you in Joann’s. I’ll agree, the Joann’s near the UTC mall area isn’t one of their best stores. Our nice big Joann’s etc store here in town is great. Sometimes not as much fashion fabric but it has friendly workers which count too. Plus, it’s a regional store? Or something like that and being the ETC gives us lots of other home items too. And even a Viking sewing machine center in the middle of the store and I bought my machine from there many years ago from that store. Your daughter’s caftan was great!!! Take care, rest all you can and sew too ,,,once you feel better, Nancy from Fort Wayne.
@TodayinJensSewingRoom7 ай бұрын
Isn't that crazy, one person gets it and another doesn't? We also have a great JoAnn's in Fort Myers but it's an hour away, same with the sewing center in the middle. It's a trek down there but I usually find something. For the rayon, though, I'm sticking with Hawaii Fabric Mart, because theirs is amazing! Take care -
