The 2020 Lexus RX 350 F-Sport is Sweet and Sour

Alright so it’s no secret the RX is not as sporty as it looks, but that’s alright because there’s a lot of really good things about this SUV. LEt’s do it!
First of all let’s stay with that energy, this F Sport is RAD. I like the satin gray with the darkened grille and bumper accents. Then you get around to the side and you got these BANGIN multispoke wheels, floating roof and it actually sits lower than I thought and looks really aggressive. And then that booty is sharp, with an angled tailgate and rear diffuser exclusive to the F Sport.
Secondly, We have to talk about the trunk. According to Car and Driver this competes with SUVs like the GLC and X3 and Q5 which is silly because this is bigger and what that means is you get a massive trunk and it’s kick to open
Third let’s talk about room in the cabin. Remember how I just said this competes against the GLC and Q5? Well there’s more room in the back seat than pretty much everything else in the segment. It’s more X5 and GLE in truth which is arguably where this should be competing, but that, more GX territory I guess.
Fourth up is build quality and it’s very typical Lexus here. The red uphostry is a soft leather, the stitching is really precise, and the metal accents are fantastic. I don’t usually like Red interiors, but this is making me think a little bit….
Fifth and finally is the drive. Now, let’s keep in mind this is a Lexus after all and that means luxury and comfort are paramount. Powering this FSport is the same 3.5L V6 under the hood of the typical 350 and it makes the same 295 hp. It’s not the sportiest thing in the world, but it’s incredibly smooth. Even as far as handling it’s not aggressive as the look suggests, but it’s a comfortable and easy to drive vehicle despite its larger size.
So those are the best things about the RX, and one thing you won’t find from a spec sheet is how the RX comes together. It’s nothing incredibly special on paper, but if all you’re looking for is something comfortable and reliable as hell then this is what you need
