Downsizing the TURBO on my E36

Test your brake booster. They are almost all bad..( ususlly last 10 years) just had to do mine on my s52 turbo e39. Will cause weird lean/ rich idol/ tip in issues. Boost test/ smoke test wont work.you need to pull the hose and test the booster itself with out the one way valve.

Back again. Curious what you think about the gt30.... i have a new ptx3576 in a box. Have a m54b30 low compression 25,000 mile engine i never installed ( still sitting on a stand. ) Ended up building a s52/ swapped to a ptx3582 for 3.2. ( never used the 3576) My emap is 40 at 20 psi boost... Im about to swap to a ptx3584 gen 3 . ( 67mm 3584 compressor , larger pte style 66mm turbine ) cant imagine the heat and pressure on your exhaust valves with a tiny turbine... i would say e85 will help, but e85 wants a big turbine compared to a gas set up.
