Thanks for the video, but correct me if I'm wrong. I think it's 9:1, 9 gallons water plus 1 gallon chemical equals 10 gallons. If you do 10:1 you will have a slightly weaker mixture because you will have an extra gallon of water mixed in.

A tip, rinse with the same tip you soap with, it’s safer on the surface your washing. Trying to get a tip to stop the flow of chem puts you in a lot higher pressure then you need or want. You can make a remote downstream for about 100.00. Best piece of equipment I built and added to my rig. Just push a button and ball valve closes the chem line then you rinse, can go up to 300 feet away with the remote. I’m telling you, it’s awesome. Good content, keep it coming, thanks!

Powerful Improvements I use 8 gpm about .75-1% hitting the siding. I use low pressure soap nozzle to soap and rinse, just push your remote button, shuts off chem and wait 30 seconds and fresh rinse water will come, start rinsing. Saves a ton of time going back and forth or using high pressure nozzles. Absolutely love it.

I downstreamed all last year and have looked into to getting a remote shut off because I waste so much time running back and forth to the truck. This year I started using my 12v for soaping and the pressure washer to rinse and its been so much better for me. I know that is how you have done it up until now but I think that is the best way I have found. With 2 guys it goes really quick and if I need something rinsed quickly I know my rinse hose is always available. Its an extra hose to roll up but I think its worth it. I think you would see the biggest improvement by getting a mixing valve setup for your 12v.

G M I appreciate that feedback and agree that it’s a great process. I just need to try Downstreaming for a few weeks and then decide how to continue. I think each method has it’s downfalls. I ran xjet all last year and swore by it. Now I swear by 12v. Let’s see what Downstreaming brings 😂

ive downstreamed, 12v and xjet. I prefer xjet. Only downside is moving a 5 gallon pail. Advantages to me were better. No chems going through any hoses or fittings. I can change mixes per bucket. change chems like only degreaser in one. Also no failing equipment to worry about. As long as machine starts your'e golden. I was always worried about to big of batch mix and 12v pumps failing. I can get stronger mixes from xjet than downstream as well. I have a helper so moving the pail and longer xjet hose isnt to big of deal. I love it. Been doing that for a couple years now. Also using modified xjet gun. Shoots farther and smoother.

DS alright! Also recommended to use a three foot whip line so you don’t get back siphoning in the pump. Question. Do we warn customers of there kids and animals to stay clear of the siding from SH. Or just as long as everything is diluted no need?

@powerfulimprovements
@powerfulimprovements 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. And this question has a lot of variables to it. It really depends a lot on what you’re using as a surfactant. I typically use 1 ounce per gallon for house wash. And 4 to 5 ounces per gallon for roof wash.

At home depot they have 1' ply that is pvc would probably make a better platform. It would be smoother than wood though. Definitely survive the sh and easy to clean. I'm gonna set my truck up like yours and was thinking that would be a lighter better way to go. Any thoughts on this? Thanks boss.

Good example on your amount of draw, I'm sure it should be helpful to many. Another test I've run is GPM rates, Have learn and tested that rated GPM's are not what you get, in some cases no where near the ratings on high pressure pumps and low pressure 12 volt affairs. Have plenty of examples, will give just one, on a 8 GPM general and Cat pump through varies size tips and oriffices we only achieved about 6.4-6.9 GPM's. I put this out there so that people will research and look into GPM's, higher flow is a good thing, however sometimes I think a lot is said and put into upgrading from 4GPM to 8, for me the increased cost of an 8 was not worth it, I do just fine with my general 3500psi at 4 gpm. I might consider a general 4000 @ 5.65 gpm. So certainly my take and testing tells that few pumps at all perform at what they're rated at

If you are using a General High Draw Downstream Injector the rule of thumb is 3 different ratios per 5 gallon mix. Just according on how bad the organic growth is. For a light spray mix go 3 gallons of water to 2 gallons of SH. Medium Mix is 2.5 gallons of water to 2.5 gallons of SH. Heavy or strong mix ratio will be 2 gallons of water to 3 gallons of SH. And then 1 oz surfactant per 1 gallon mix. works out well. I normally do the 50/50 mix unless I get heavy organic and then go strong.

Chris Steward thank you Chris. I’m staring with 50/50 tomorrow. I’ll make 15 gallons and see how far it takes me

@@powerfulimprovements it actually go's pretty far. I normally use 10 gal on a regular size house and 15 on the bigger ones but play with it to see how it works for you. I love downstreaming. It go's a little faster because of the extra psi throwing your mix up on the house better. I also like the M5 for rinsing as well. Does a great job. Good luck tomorrow 👍
