Great stuff as always. In your opinion what would you say is the ideal setup for a rig? I'm currently running an AR45 and 2 5GPM machines. Will upgrade soon to an 8GPM but not sure if I should go the injector route or not. Any advice will be appreciated

Sounds like a great set up. I am running the 8 & AR45 and love this set up. The 5.5 GPM tends to pulls more SH in case you need to downstream. But the 8 GPM is a beast for surface cleaning. Focus on what would make you more efficient. Hope this helps

@All Pro Exterior Services LLC. I've learned quite a lot from your videos. Correct me if I'm wrong though. On your second test with the 1.8 injector. It pulled 6 gallons on a half gallon of chem. Therefore, it would then pull 12 gallons if it were a full 1 gallon of chem. When you subtract the 1 gallon of chem from the total, it becomes an 11:1 ratio for both. So why wouldn't the math then be as follows: 12.5 ÷ 11 = 1.136% (rounded to 1.14%).

When I tried the 1.8 injector on my 8.5 gpm it seemed like it was really stressing my machine and i didn't like the sound of it so i didn't use it and went a little bigger orfice high draw injector. Good video! I believe you have to divide by the total number of parts which are gallons in this 1.8 injector case. You have your bleach which counts as one part and you're other 6 gallons for a total of 7 gallons. 12.5% ÷ 7 = 1.79%. For instance one gallon of 12.5% bleach and 1 gallon of water - 12.5 ÷ 2 = 6.25% bleach..... I had that last digit wrong but it's corrected now. 🤓

The video illustration is correct. The 1 gallon was incorporated into the tank for a total of 6 gallons. Hence the subject of the video "Chemical Injector Draw Test". So it was a 5:1 draw.

Aren’t you supposed to subtract the 1 gallon of chemical from the total number of gallons being drawn? So if you got 6 gallons total that would be 5 gallons water to 1 gallon of chemical making it 5:1 and not 6:1? So 2.5% instead of the 2.08%?
@Gamer-kd9ou
@Gamer-kd9ou Жыл бұрын
He should be correct. Let's assume the total was 2 gallons instead of six. If you subtract by 1, then 12.5% divided by one would still be 12.5% while dividing by two would yield the correct result of 6.25%.
@user-yy4up8qf5m

No becase it's a dilution ratio! Let's say we used 1 gal of SH in 1 min and the total was 10 gallons ( both water and SH. (So there has to be 9 gallons of water and 1 gallon of SH in the tank. Now we have 1 gal of SH concentrate that became 10 gals of ready to use in a period of 1 min. So if you do this for 10 minutes... your gona have 100 gallons of ready to use with 10 gallons of SH in the mix. Written as 1:10. Where 1 is the SH in gallons and 10 is the total SH + Water. (The diluted amount).

You did the math on the first injector wrong. Not sure why you multiplied your gallons x2. If you would have taken it 12.5% Divided by 9 on the 2.3 injector you would have had a 1.38% mix. Your test on the 1.8 injector you did it the right way and came up with a 2.08% mix. Informative none the less , but just thought I'd mention that.
@allproexteriorservicesllc5338

The reason I multiplied x2 on the first test is because the gallon was half empty. So it would have taken 18 gallons to empty the entire gallon jug. This was a draw test not a flow test. Thanks

4gpm and 8gpm have different jet size inside the injector. If you take your quick connect ends off you can see inside the injector there is a small hole and flat slot. You can run a 4gpm injector on a higher flow unit but you lose a lot of flow to. Being restricted. 8gpm injector jet hole is much larger inside. That allows proper flow. 👌

@joeslatt
@joeslatt 2 жыл бұрын
It was off. First test was 9 gallons, second test was 6. The only right answer means the second result should be 50% higher than the first, which is not what he got. In the first test, he multiplied the total gallons (9) by 2, in the second test, he did not. Test 2 actual result was 0.125 divided by (6 gallons x 2), or 1.04%. First test was 0.125 divided by (9 gallons x 2), or 0.69%. And 0.69% x 1.5 is 1.04%, so that's the proof that (a) you got a result that you thought you should get and (b) that his 2nd calculation was incorrect.

how to check gallon test vs sh% draw test... Start with a five gallon container full of water hook your down-streamer to it and add the amount of pressure hose that you usually use. Start your pressure washer and spray your gun into a fifty five gallon container. When it has fifty gallons in it, stop. Measure how much has been drawn from your five gallon bucket. Let’s assume three gallons. So you have 47 gallons of pressure wash water and 3 gallons of soap. Let’s call that 47÷3. That equals 15.6 to 1. If you are using 6% bleach, divide 6 into 15.6. Answer? .3846. You are getting .38 percent bleach on the wall. Now that .38% downstream injector % out put.
