Oh, HOW I hope they can bring the Downton Abbey gang back together again. I would love to see how the Abbey faired during the Great Depression. Surely, the family did not die out. Barring accidental deaths (God forbid), Lord and Lady Grantham should have many more years ahead of the. By the time of Lord Grantham's passing, Mary's son should be of age. He may not be able to fully take the reins, but for sure, Lady Mary would be there to guide him.

I believe that the 7th season of the show, there should be a revelation of a sister-cousin of Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham. This sister-cousin's unknown existence will remain a mystery due to a sworn vow of silence. The existence of this cousin-sister will be unknown to everyone, except the Countess of Grantham, who has passed away. There should be a rwist in the generational segment of this 7th season. The eldest son of Lady Mary as he comes of age, stepping into his role as the next Earl of Grantham.
