I wish they would do a prequel to Downton Abbey, when Violet Crawley ran Downton, when Robert was younger and how Cora came into the family and then the birth of their 3 daughters, when Carons and Mr ps Hughes first came to Downton. Would love to see a prequel series. Maybe go even further back.

They could air the original once a week as when it was new, and I think people would STILL tune in. Because as much as you may have watched it first time ‘round, there are always some moments you’ll rediscover anew you didn’t expect. And it could even pick up a younger generation of admirers. I loved going all week anticipating 😂 story’s continuation on the following episode.

This is one time when I turn british. My daughter does too and we try to speak in british english just for fun. If the Carnavons are happy then we are happy too. We miss Lady Violet but as she would have probably said: "the show must go on." Also heard on the radio they will have a segment in the movie dedicated to Maggie's memory. Thank you guys, and please make this movie, we cannot wait to watch it.

I can't wait to visit Highclere Castle on September 3rd! I found what looks like a wonderful small all day trip from London that includes some of the Cotswolds and filming locations. I love the series much more than the films, but I'm glad they are filming and I'm sure it will still be an excellent film.

Happy to hear they are finally filming a 3rd Downton movie. Loved this series and saw the first two movies too. I know Julian Fellows is a stickler for authenticity so if he plans to use a vehicle with white wall tires on it, he'd better make sure the the white wall is a wide white wall tire. There were no narrow white wall ties on cars back in those days.

NO, please don't let that happen. Downton has got to survive just like Highclere did. I am hoping more movies are made there and that keep it going into the red in spite of the crash. I would rather it be post 1929 into 1930 and the uncle has lost everything, and they have taken him in.
