@MrGriff305 What's up with the new castrated laser light bull that is coming to Miami then? It seems like another way to copy what NYC started first. I get your point it Miami being popular and it is certainly unique in it's own way! But there are a few aspects of where they are trying to compare this place to a warm or even tropical Manhattan.

@@magicalindigoadult3838 rent control actually make rents more expensive. There is research on this to prove. 400 sq 1 bed studio in Soho Manhattan is 4500 a month and the condos probably cost 1 million.

Rent and home prices should generally be a fixed price that keeps up with inflation over the years, just because more ppl are moving here doesn't mean property owners get to raise prices $500 per month out the blue
@adad-ec6ht2 жыл бұрын
It was like this in Soviet Russia. Check those homes please.
@Distress. Жыл бұрын
Actually that's exactly what property OWNERS can do. Now I'd agree that property tax increases should be tied to inflation.
@LIROELQBREGA Жыл бұрын
Yeah they can that's why I said " generally fixed " meaning they can raise it but they should have a limit as to how much bc I've seen places go up by $1k more than it used to be 15 months ago and yeah they're going to find ppl than can afford it so that's why they do it 🤷🏻♂️

How's a studio costing $350,000 affordable???? Clearly someone is not doing the math correctly or is really living in paradise..... average income in the USA is only $56,000..... a condominium studio costing $350,000 would mean at least $2,500 per month in mortgage payment.... that's way more than half of the buyer's monthly income of $56,000 annual salary..... not affordable......
@TuanNguyen-uq8gz2 жыл бұрын
I guess that price is for studios located at those skyscrapers, not the typical ones in Miami.

As a native from Jacksonville, I shake my head in disbelief. Miami just couldn't stop building. I have a suggestion. Why won't Miami donate any rejected high rise mixed use/apartment project to both Orlando (which is where I live now) AND Jacksonville!!! Jacksonville can sure use more height! LOL😄

I have no idea why they just won't build in downtown jacksonville. That place is Scenic and has so much potential . is there not really much going on in downtown Orlando when it comes to Construction?
