Downtown Houston Texas - Houston Tunnel System, and Houston tunnels walk.
This video is about the Houston Tunnels and the Houston tunnel system. And living in Downtown Houston.
This is my latest video in a series of videos about moving to houston 2019 and moving to Houston 2020. I figure, I'm doing videos for traveling around the world, I might as well go over my current home town.
Especially since it seems that everyone is moving to Houston Texas, or Texas in general. If you are moving to Houston Texas 2019 or in 2020, I hope to offer more information on where to stay, why move here and the benefits and downside to moving with your move to Houston.
If you're relocating to Houston, like I said before, it's a good thing. Well, let me say, it depends on where you're coming from. I came from Washington DC, and let me tell you, there's way more benefits. If you ask me, why move to houston, I'd say number one, that the people are nicer than where I come from. Its population is extremely mixed, which makes me feel comfortable. Way more comfortable that the Washington DC metro area. Why move to houston texas instead of Dallas, San Antonio, or Austin? Well, I guess that will depend on if you're moving for a job. I love Houston and the people here. No slight against the other major cities, but Houston is perfect for me. But I do like to visit the others as often as I can. San Antonio would be my next favorite. We have the Houston Rockets, the Houston Astros and the Houston Texans. Winning teams. There are always lots of Houston events. Our Houston food is also all that, since we have food of all types. Lots of Houston fun. Houston Texas is the place to be. A great place to move. And this is my Houston Texas vlog. Please subscribe if you find this information beneficial. I'm going to also go over apartments in Houston, downtown Houston, downtown Houston Texas and life in Houston Texas in general. Living in Houston Texas is definitely a good thing.
Below are links to the products that I recommend. If you choose to purchase any of them, I get a few pennies for it. "#CommissionsEarned" If I didn't highly recommend something I wouldn't put it on my channel.

Yea man, it used to be bustling before covid. Now it's almost completely empty. Even the restaurants have almost all gone. When it rains, that's where all the workers go. It's all over downtown. I'll have a new channel coming soon with more Houston facts and experiences. Keep an eye out for it. Thanks for watching

When covid was just starting my engineering class took a field trip down in the tunnels. It was so sad to see that there was barely anyone there and most the shops and restaurants were closed at the time. It almost felt like an abandoned city

Is Houston really thriving? sure you can look at a map of our city decade to decade and see that its expanding but i feel like the cities interior is dying just as quickly with just the absolute massive swathes of closed down shopping centers adding to all the dead malls. Where i live 20 years ago it was pretty close to the edge of the city, now we are about 40 minutes away from the edge and theres just dead shopping centers in every direction. Its a completely different world here now. It feels like the city is dying

The tunnels are much emptier now after covid. They are open, but there are as many empty storefronts as ones still in business. The shops in the video (the area that is basically a food court) is a hollow shell now in 2023 of what is shown in the video. There's still a lot of foot traffic during lunch time, but it's not like it used to be.

Yea, it's extensive there. You just need to know which building to gain access. You just go into the lobby and they'll be an escalator down. When harvey all those tunnels were under water, but this is Houston, we are so resilient bro. We die standing working hard. I dont know if you know this about Houston, but the south east and south part is full of refineries and chemical plants, i think it is like 465 total connected to the port of Houston and rail roads and freeways, working 24/7 the 365 days of the year. We have the biggest and better Hospital Center in the world, so for you to know, between the best cardiologists, guatemalans babba, plus we have nasa. We are the heart of the USA.

Another couple of landmarks in downtown are the Aquarium and wortham theater center, in march I think, they will be hosting Shen Yun. If you take the metro train toward the west, it will get you to the NRG stadium where the texans play, right beside it is the astrodome.
