I've never even heard of this game. If I saw this in the arcade back in the day, ten-year-old me would've thought this was the greatest thing ever.
@adamb8910 күн бұрын
I already know my ten-year-old self would insist on calling this game "Outta my way I gotta shit" based on his walk. He's like a pigeon-toed sasquatch that just endured anal congress with a fire hydrant. Side valves and all.
@MrRolyat986 күн бұрын
It was weird. The joystick was this strange contraption that twisted in eight different directions to account for which way you were facing in addition to pushing your character in the right direction
@outlandishusername5 күн бұрын
@@MrRolyat98 After reading your comment I saw images of the cabinet and the octagonal stick. I can see how it works in principle but having never played it, I can't tell if it would practical or not. Seems like it would be more fitting for a top-down shoot 'em up or Smash TV.

This is officially one of the weirdest games I've ever seen. I guess it's the graphical style that is cartoonish yet gritty, (and a more realistic perspective on the sprites there, too) complete with meandering music. I will say it's rather amusing to imagine ending your white collar job shift at 5 PM and heading to the subway station to head home, and this is how the rest of your day goes. Certainly enough excitement in one day!

Thanks for introducing me to this game's soundtrack. In my humble opinion, I believe the musical direction was to give the player(s) pretty much the vibe of seedy dive bars all across America of the 1980s, LOL.

I would have put some quarters in this machine if I'd known about it, but what on Earth is the premise of the story? Why have we got some random guy in a shirt and tie just going around and beating people up on the street? Falling Down wasn't even out yet was it? So we can't even say it was inspired by that. Or Was Falling Down inspired by this game? THAT is the big question.
