Hi Mark, Thanks for sharing the coverage of the tour cars on Bellview Ave. I was on my way to the event and was delayed in traffic and as a result ended up missing the event so your coverage is very much appreciated. Hope to meet you someday at one of the New England car events.

We were there for the PCA event down the street at the Elms and walked up to see this part after the judging finished at our event. The car you couldn't identify just in front of Derrin bodied Packard is a Renault -- and you missed showing the Bizzerini but there was so much to so much to and so little time to see them all. I'm really glad they do this on the day before -- that way we don't need to pay the big dollors for the main event. But otherwise a good job summarizing

What a beautiful selection of classics! In regards to the Packard "Monte Carlo". From what I've researched, a custom stylist by the name of Richard Airbib worked for a custom builder called Henney. He designed a "Monte Carlo" version in 1948 and again in 1953. Whatever happened to the 1948 model that was built, no one seems to be sure, however two 1953 models are still known to exist. One is red and white and the other is a two tone blue. Those two models are owned by a Packard collector.

What was the route of the tour this year? I’ve been watching the Auto Week web site but as of yesterday morning it only discussed last years tour in the past tense. Very disappointed this years route was not posted, I always look forward to watching the tour but avoid going to downtown Newport because of the congestion and lack of parking. Prefer to watch somewhere along the route out of town. Chris B Stonington CT
