Thank you for the stroll down memory lane! I was stationed on the USCGC Buckthorn in 1990-91. Hard to tell from the drive by but it looks like she is still there after all these years. The “Soo” was by far my favorite duty station ...absolutely loved the “small town atmosphere”; people were actually nice to you b/c they wanted to be. It was hard to adjust coming from Philadelphia, PA. Hope to go back and visit again w/ my wife and kids some day soon. Please post more; especially by the Locks and USCG Base. Thanks again!

Tom you should make a documentary from all the footage you've recorded about the ugly struggles of addiction and the compassion and generosity of people from all walks of life

I wonder if Clyde's Drive-In is closed for the season. Reasonably priced food close to the bridge.

Sault Ste. Marie, sounds to me like a French name; What does it mean?

St. Mary's Falls. And yes, the name is French and is written Sault-Ste-Marie in French.

For three months out of the year it is. This city got the most snow in Michigan last year; I think around 155 inches.
