I have just picked up the blue version of the Doxa Sub 200 and having worn it for two days have to say that I am very impressed. The comments in this video and the previous in depth review are spot on. It is superb for the money. I would add a couple of things - the bezel insert is really quite unique in this price range - a sapphire crystal that is lumed - and it is quite reminiscent of some of the vintage bakelite bezels. It creates a depth to the insert that is very attractive. I do like the bracelet, however my one gripe with it is that the second link (after the end link) is actually wider than the 19mm of the end link. On the wrist, that gives the slight impression of the bracelet flaring out from the lugs. It does make me wonder why they chose to make the lug width 19mm if they were going to use a 20mm bracelet. Somewhat odd. However, this is a small observation, and overall the bracelet is extremely comfortable. The case is just like the old Hugenin Freres cases that were made for Omega Speedmasters and Seamaster 300s - and of course shared by the vintage Doxa Sub 300. Having owned a 60's Omega SM300, the case is remarkably similar in execution and wear. Finally, I picked up the integrated rubber strap they released for this as well and think it is absolutely brilliant - strongly recommended if you buy this watch. Overall, the Sub200 is a stunning bit of value. They could have easily priced it 50% higher and it would be difficult to complain.

Jonas Milner Hi Jonas, thanks for watching. And thanks for the recommendation of the rubberstrap. I will pick up one now to wear the watch on for the summer. The 19mm lug width is a bit strange. I think watch companies should accept that people need to have the choice to use other straps. Best regards, Anders

Bought same model as you yesterday , absolutely love it although case comes up smaller than I’m used to with my other watches , I guess I get used to that , otherwise it’s a beautiful watch

Great comparison video! For me the tool watch award goes to the Doxa, but the Oris is my pick for aesthetics!! They’re both awesome watches, congrats on owning both of them!

Thank you for making this video. I was very interested with both of these watches when I head about them. The Doxa was love at first sight and I was really planning on getting it. However the orange logo on the crown and the bad lume reviews just kind of turned me off. With the Oris was really cool when I first saw it, but then the love faded. In the end I decided to go with a Squale 60th anniversary limited edition to get my classic style diver.

I think the Oris is brilliant, a very vintage looking piece, especially with the brown leather strap,, Thanks for showing us both of these,,,

Nice comparison. I actually have the Doxa. A great watch. Basically like everything about it. I do agree about the crown and the lume. I actually have the 150th Anniversary Shark hunter. Here are 5 Interesting divers for under 2000 US. Aquadive Bathyscaph 100, Eterna Super Kontiki, Marathon GSAR, Squale Squalematic, and the Doxa Sub 300T

That Oris is gorgeous! I see they have them in 36mm - sweet. A no-date variant would be cool.

The Oris divers are all stunning, but Doxa seems a better serious dive watch with superior specs.

Khorne no it’s so easy. It’s one screw like Rolex does. The best part is they are not all liquid glued in so it’s easy to unscrew them. I just ordered a set of small screw drivers from amazon. Great watch.

I like the Doxa but I’m disappointed in the lume and the clasp with no on the fly adjustment. If they improved those 2 features I’d buy one. Great comparison video. Best regards

The Doxa clasp has a diver extension though. That’s pretty much all you need to adjust it on the fly.

How’s the build quality of the doxa? I wasn’t impressed with the oris 65. It felt delicate so I thus sold it.

It’s great. I feels more solid than the Oris. I didn’t have any issues with the Oris, it’s a great watch.

Why oris put a white lume pipson the bezel, but fauxtina indexes. That color difference a dealbreaker for me. A lot of aquis did the same too. Orange / yellow indexes and white lume pips. Quite a common mistake in cheap brand. Why oris why

Both are nice. But i would not buy either of them. Why ? The Doxa is 19mm Lug Width. The Oris is only 100m WR. Both of them are disqualified in my book.
