Our daughter Anna now 16 has PE. Her HI was 7.8 we had her Nuss Procedure done 3/6/23 at 15yrs and she is a totally different girlie!!! Besides her health her confidence and her posture is so great!!! Ask them to do cryo ablation it was a pain management game changer for us!!! Only took two painkillers and was back to light activities (school, church) in 10 days rode rollercoasters the day after her 3 mo check up!! Praying for y'all!!!

I have recovered a handful of pectus surgical patients as a recovery room nurse. They had done very well. Explain to her about breathing and pain management. Most likely her medication will be given Iv. They will ask her to give a number from 0-10 on pain scale. Pulse oximeter reading is very important. She may even have oxygen by nasal cannula. Mom can help her with breathing exercises. Taking pain medication is recommended before she gets out of bed. Pediatric nurses are very good about explaining things to parents and patient. It’s ok to cry. It’s ok to be scared. She is young and healthy. I know that she will do well. ❤️ Have soup and crackers and fruit ready for her at home. Probably shirts that button in front will be the easiest to put on. Have a pillow available for her to protect her chest from dogs and cats. I wish all of you the best.

Dejay Thank You for sharing that with us on Emily ❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏. I will do my best to some prayer for Emily and the whole family. I cannot fathom what like for child to go through surgery. As me l 5 surgery in week just on my right foot because crush injury all toes had to be removed . Because no blood was getting to them. But I was in my early 30s and not a teenager. It was very scary the first time for surgery that major. Plus I never broke a arm or a leg. Fingers yes Crack rib yes. That was very hard. That happen when I was walking across flat bar stuffers inside of a part inter bottom, this. Part of the ship where the bottom shell meet the water and space in the middle open and bottom of the tank top where the oil is so that no oil out if runs a ground. Those flat bar was 1 inch thick 16 inch tall and 36 inch apart. Easy to walk across them. I had Jackie on the inside we cutting with a torch, it burn up my jacket 🧥. What trying to do was get back to save the jacket, but trip and fell forward, my has stop me from going any farther but rib hit one of the stiffener and crack my rid not broken rib just a Hair line crack. Talk about pain for a whole year every time move or chough, laugh it would hurt me. Plus sleeping was hard to. Emily I feel that your doctors will do a very good job on you. And fix up in no time. With God's help, Family and Friends Praying for you, and You Tube Family Praying . 👍👍👍👍👍👍💓💓💓💓💓💓💓 . I wish all get through this find. P.S. I have been under knife 11 times on different parts of my body. And do not think I'm not afraid because each time I was afraid. But I would say little prayer for myself. Daniel looked so much like Houston when he was making fun of you for saying that Larry was Tom. Kelce is like an ADHD kid.
