So what is the scene Elizabeth Montgomery regrets doing? Why entice and trick viewers into watching till the end 😢and not give us the scene? Is this a gimmick that makes fools of the audience? 😮19:02

Happening way too often on YT videos these days. The internet is, sadly, full of click-bait and frankly the people doing this should be ashamed of themsleves.

I agree as well, an enticing title is one thing. A lying clickbait is another. I generally enjoy this channels content but this one saddened me. The episode was good without the clickbait, only reason I didn’t get it a thumbs up or down

I enjoyed all of "Bewitched" and don't think it was long enough either. But then again I was born in 1960 & didn't have a TV in our house until 1965 or later. Also enjoyed "I Dream of Jeannie".

I think people are over thinking this sitcom. It was funny in it's time...❤

Well the comedic edge comes from her being determined to not use her powers to please Darrin. I prefer Darrin (Dick York) to the next Darrin (Dick Sargent). I always got the feeling Dick Sargent’s Darrin was always completely annoyed with Samantha. Very little believable affection.

Bewitched was my favorite show while I was growing up in the ‘60’s. Looking back now at the last season, I do see a difference in Elizabeth, she looked bored and couldn’t wait for that particular taping to end. My fave’s were the episodes featuring Serena and Endora, but every show was “magical!”😊

Loved bewitched and I dream of jeanie👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️still watch reruns today
@kerrykeene64712 ай бұрын
I wouldn't call the 60s boring. How about change and violent? Well, the split between Asher and Liz started with his cheating on her, from what I've heard over the years, more than once. Michael's also made a sexist remark toward Liz. Moorehead was out of line. She knew how bad York's health was and made a crack, as she did, ticked Liz off and she confronted Moorehead and told her to apologize. She did onset, but she still mistreated Sargent, as though he were the blame. Moorehead should've gone to the Ashers, in private, if she had an issue. Some fluff it off, but it hurt Dick Sargent. It was enough for him to enter a new role without a diva making it worse for him. Liz stood by him and they became very close friends and a big supporter. Some of you may not know this, but according to Bill Asher, in a late 1990s interview, said that York went into a coma and they couldn't bring him out of it. Asher went in and talked to him until he came out of it. York didn't tell the producers of his condition.

Barbara Avedon sure looks like Barbara Stanwyck. Amongst all of her many movie parts, she played the matriarch of the show “The Big Valley”.

Bet I'm the dominant only cool enough to notice the great and eclectic taste in wall art of the Stevens house featuring the works of both Picasso's Blue Period (complete with the correct sideview framing of his "Old Guitarist" painting) and the folky landscape of Grandma Moses. I wonder why no Big Eyed Kid art from Margaret Kean? She probably could have been convinced to do a custom Big Eyed Tabitha just for the show.

I’m definitely a fan of the original Darrin (Dick York). Dick Sargent always seemed like a mean, cranky old man, even though he was only in his 30’s at the time. There was just nothing pleasant about him, even though having a “wife” who was drop-dead gorgeous and could’ve created an amazing life for him simply by twitching her nose should have made him the happiest guy on the planet. But yes, I think the show ended at the proper time. The whole situation was getting ridiculous, what with an identical cousin (Sarina) and the 2 kids barely being mentioned in the last season. It ran its course, and did much better than other TV shows from the same time period.

I'm actually enjoying Do You Remember focusing on Sam. Even though I don't completely agree with his perspective. The viewers were not presented with a "headache" in trying to reconcile the unusual level of domestic power Sam held in that relationship. Only the most safe space obsessed woke snowflake would characterize the dynamics between Darrin and Sam as "abusive" . She was an incredibly powerful witch who's power made Darrin (Darwood 😂🤣) uneasy but presented it's utility many times in saving his ass in numerous scenarios in which Larry Tate was about to fire him. Pretty simple stuff. Literally understood and accepted that highly entertaining premise as a 5 year old and was able to enjoy every episode. If John Eldswick is serious (and not being tongue in cheek) about the lingering psychic toxicity of switching Darrin's then he is a fun killing sissy who's presence would spell doom for any party. You should do a full Jeanie vs Samantha episode 🤘

I loved all the "Bewitched" shows, no matter who acted the part of Darrin. As a child I heard the original Darrin died. That kind of scared and bothered me since I felt an attachment to all of the cast and they were like my parents age and aren't supposed to die yet. As far as the over controlling Darrin went, I couldn't understand why he didn't want her to do magic. But back then men were these sensitive things that couldn't handle their wives working, and it seemed like this was just another one of those men things. "No woman of mine is going to get a job! I'm a man and I take care of my family myself!" I heard men say. So Darrin just feels that way about Samantha helping him have a much less stressful and more enjoyable life. She's a woman and not supposed to do that. When I grow up I'll understand men being that way. Now I hate "Derwood" not letting Samantha use her powers. I agree with the mother he is a jerk. I get pitying Samantha for wasting her life with someone like that when she could have had a more laid back, fun man she could wave her hands and create herself.

Are there really tons of forums literally dedicated to York vs Sargent?!!? That's pretty F'ing rad! So that would indicate the enduring level of merit based quality of that show, as opposed to sheer nostalgia. I knew I could find forums where I could argue for hours about David Lee Roth Van Halen vs Sammy Hagar Van Halen, but I didn't realize I could find similar arena's of battle for the comfort food of TV minutiae.

The change to Dick Sargent wasn't that jarring to the audience. If theyed dyed his hair darker, like Dick York, even more of the audience wouldn't have noticed. I think, this is unique to "Bewitched", that a lead actor is changed & no one really cares. If they'd changed Larry Hagman out on "I Dream of Jeanie", it wouldn't have worked. Actor change outs, like Marilyn on "The Munsters" worked, because they weren't lead characters.

Daren did get powers in one episode, maybe two.. where Samantha's dad gave him a talisman to give him powers. And Endora gave him powers too I believe in another episode.
