Mr. Poland, Interviews like these are the perfect example of why your format is so important. This young guy is struggling with some big notions and trying to provide deeply thoughtful answers to your questions, often at a loss for words, and not once did you intervene or try to coax a reply out of him, allowing him instead the time he needed to string his ideas together. It's not even that what he had to say was particularly novel or brilliant, but at least he was being honest. Another lovely conversation. Thank you again, sir... Regards, H. W.

Deep interviews like these are very important for me, I feel I can connect with these people and I feel we have so much in common. Not just actors but musicians and everyone else too. KZbin is wonderful for that.

Hmm. Felt like he distanced himself from the school. It's NC School of Performing arts and its alumni list is something he should be proud of. Note also I'd father was nominated for screenplay be the Academy. Really enjoyed his performance in Manchester and wish him the best.

soooo self centered.... how many times did he say ''special''....

He has to talk about himself for half an hour though. I think that’d make anyone come across a tad self-centred

Lia page No, he's not. He's human. Clearly you never really listened at all to what he was saying. He had said that he had to let go of this idea of being special or more special to instead focus more on the work. He also said there's so many people deserving of roles who go unrecognized. Deep down, as people, at one point in our lives, the idea of being special comes across our minds because we want to contribute and be a part of something incredible. We all want to be outstanding and shine and stick out from the rest. We all crave to be unique and be at the top of the world. But of course there has to be a limit because when we think too highly of ourselves it can easily turn into vanity or egotism. It is necessary to be grounded just as much. He mentioned it a lot especially since he was being asked if he felt special. Of course he does in the sense of the opportunites granted to him. That's what conversations like these are here for. I was very intrigued to hear that because the topic of being "special" for an actor is very complex and psychological. Lucas acknowledging the concept of being "special"'shows self-awareness which means he realizes how detrimental it can be to think too highly of oneself and realized how it affects the craft of acting.
